  We had a small group of 5. Our guide, Hitau, was exceptional. Kind, generous, patient, funny! He made the experience even more memorable! You have a rare gem in that human being.

  We had a brilliant experience with Haitao on the Beijing Great Wall Food Tour. It was great having the whole day planned out for you. The trip ran smoothly, we tried many delicious local dishes and learned lots from our amazing tour guide Haitao. We will definitely be booking another Lost Plate Food tour when we go back to China.

  This was our first experience with Lost Plate Food Tours and we were so happy we decided to book. We spent a whole day with our lovely host, Janice and she could not have been more helpful and insightful history, local know how and enthusiasm. With Janice’s advice we saved hours of waiting in line at the wall (going up AND down) with a few tourist hacks that we would not know or have not read online. And be sure to arrive to the food tour hungry. Great recommendations and so much food! 100% recommended. Thanks again Janice and Lost Plate.

  Our tour guide Janice provided us with a spectacular day of visiting and walking the legendary Great Wall, weaving us through the crowds, skipping the long queues and providing us tips we wouldn't have known otherwise to maximise our experience. Our driver, Mr Shu was also superb in his skills navigating the crazy tight lanes near our hotel, getting us there and back to Beijing in comfort and safety. Later that afternoon on our return, Janice informed us of some of the local neighbourhood insights around the Drum and Bell towers before we started on our exploration of Beijing culinary delights, many of which we hadn't tried. And these places were all great, she catered for the only restriction we had (not into seafood) and provided us with delicious and varied options for us to savour. The atmosphere at each was so different from super cosy family fare to hidden back alleyway surprises. Loved the whole day. Thank you Janice, Mr Shu and Lost Plate. We loved it so much, we're doing the Shanghai version next week.

  We absolutely loved our tour with Yoyo! She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and made the whole experience comfortable and fun! We would definitely recommend this to everyone!

  The tour was great, would highly recommend! Tracy is very knowledgeable and passionate about local history and local cuisine. We never would have found the restaurants we went to on our own. Tracy is also very approachable and a nice person to talk to. Although it is for the entire day, the pace is very good and we did not feel tired at the end of it.
