  We loved our half-day tour around the valley! Our guide was so friendly, fun and knowledgeable of the area. We stopped at 4 different wineries along the way and they were all fantastic. We definitely recommend this tour!

  I would like to report that this was a great tour with loads of interesting wines, but sadly I can’t. First on the positive side, the Forrest vineyard were excellent - lots of different wines to try and knowledgable input from our host. Sadly, after that it is a tale of woe. We were contacted 2 days before the tour by the operator to say that he was unable to make the tour but had secured another chauffeur to take us around, This should have rung alarm bells! We were picked up at 0915 by a cheery lady who said she was our guide. Throughout she remained cheerful but had little knowledge to impart on the area or the vineyards. Indeed the content on the wines was sadly lacking. We turned up at the first vineyard (Hunters) at 0930, despite having driven past it at least once! The wines were to be the showpiece but frankly the amount per tasting was insufficient to allow a mouse to get the scent! It may have been that the vineyard team were conscious of how early it was, but I think not! The third vineyard (St Clair) was also our (very early) lunch stop (we had to pay for it ourselves). Here the assistant was knowledgeable and the food tasty, but again tastings were on the meagre side. Final stop was the chocolate factory where we had a modest free tasting before heading back to the car and returning to our hotel - surprisingly early for a half day tour!

  Brilliant experience with Jade tours visited 4 vineyards. Bruce is very knowledgeable and provides a great experience.

  Bruce took us to three lovely wineries including one with very nice bubbles. They were all small family owned and very tasty. It was nice to experience something besides the large well known SB vineyards and see what else New Zealand was up to in wines. Super fun. Bruce was super knowledgeable and we had actually visited his family cellar, Greystone, on the drive up from Christchurch. It was a beautiful day and we came back with a bounty of wines to fuel the rest of our vacation. A+, thank you Bruce!

  Bruce is an excellent guide, knowledgeable , attentive and, personable. I would highly recommend Jade tours to people wishing to get an insight of the history and enjoy a wonderful half or full day wine tasting experience, with a delicious lunch, in the Marlborough wine region.

  Half day wine tour with Bruce as our host. Fabulous day. We went to 5 different venues, actually learned a few tips along the way (which we have retained). Bruce was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable, and super friendly, a real gentleman. Would very much recommend, thanks for a memorable day :)

  I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a taste of Marlborough wines! Bruce was such a helpful guide, and we benefited from all of his knowledge about the region, the wines we sampled, and the wine industry! We had a great amount of tastings for the half day tour, plus an excellent lunch.

  My friend and I had an incredible time on this tour! Bruce was so knowledgeable about wine, took us to some fantastic wineries, and even dropped us off at the airport after the tour. Made our last day in NZ unforgettable! Brittney

  Discovery Wine Tours organized a great wine tasting tour to three different vineyards from one of the larger ones in Marlborough to one of the smaller ones, with a different selection of grapes and wines. In addition to a nice and tasty lunch. Also many nice people in the group we spent many hours with.
