  Though his knowledge of speaking in English was limited he was able to provide me with an excellent tour of Madabodhi temple & the surrounding area. Special mention must also be given to him for being very punctual in picking me up from the hotel.

  Firstly, the driver showed up with no guide. I asked about the guide and he said “you should have booked a guide if you want one”… umm I was under the impression that I did book a guide when I paid 3000 rupees for the tour and the reviews referred to a guide. They didn’t even provide the water which was mentioned in the description inclusionsz The driver proceeded to taxi me around to temples around bodh gaya. Taxi driver was a nice guy, but could offer no explanation to what I was looking at at any of the places. 3 hours into the tour, the driver said we are finished… I told him it’s advertised as a 6-8 hour tour, why the difference? He said “Oh it’s because we don’t have a guide for you”. What!?!? I said I want to see the Pragbodhi caves, since we have more time. We started driving there, then another guy jumped in the car and said “I’m the guide”. Nice of him to show up… We went to the caves. The guide spent the whole time trying to sell me on donating to his “charity” (which sounded like a scam) rather than explaining what we were seeing. After the caves, they said the tour is finished (4 hours into the tour) and dropped me to the station. When I said goodbye, the guide aggressively said “you need to pay my fee”. I told him “no chance, I’ve already paid” and left. This was a laughably disastrous tour.

  The palace were good but the tour only included the vehicle and no guide was provided to help you understand the history and the driver didn't help much

  Thanks to Anshu I had an amazing day. Instead of the Hindu temples (I wasn’t aware I can’t go as a foreigner) we visited the Dungeshwari caves which actually made the trip even better.

  Vehicle arranged is not in good condition. For one and half day the charges are reasonable but for the condition of vehicle. Better be sure of vehicle condition etc before hiring
