  This is incredible. You sit in a dugout canoe, virtually on the bottom in a small chair an inch or two off the hull. Getting down was quite a trial. The canoe is driven by a man with pole. He essentially steers the craft. You travel down stream passing crocodiles, deer and a myriad of birds. The boat seems to be reasonably stable although it does rock. Getting out is not as hard as getting in.

  Drifting silently along Chitwan's rivers was pure magic. The gentle rhythm of flowing water created a perfect backdrop for wildlife watching. Spotting a one-horned rhinoceros by the riverbank was breathtaking—its prehistoric appearance just meters away felt like stepping back in time. Crocodiles sunbathed on sandy shores while colorful kingfishers darted overhead. Unlike the jeep safaris, this peaceful journey offered intimate wildlife encounters and moments of quiet connection with Nepal's wild heart.
