5.00We highly recommend booking with Joao on Faial. Exploring the Caldera, learning a lot about the eruption of 1957, and taking advantage of his expert knowledge base on every single plant we saw made our day unforgettable. His truck is able to go places where we did not see anyone else! If you want adventure with a very friendly person, booked this tour.

5.00A very well spent day with a super friendly guide who knows the whole island and its fauna and flora. A very complete tour that gave us to know the entire history of the island of Faial bam as some curiosities of the other islands. Hope to find a "John" on upcoming trips

He took us on alternative paths, showed us unique plants and hidden spots, and shared stories and fun facts that only someone who truly knows the island could tell. The day flew by and was really special. João has such a great vibe — he’s friendly, fun, and makes you feel totally at ease. He’s the kind of guide who turns a simple visit into an unforgettable experience. We totally recommend it — if you’re going to Faial, don’t miss this!

5.00An excellent way to discover Faial Island. In a single day, João took us through breathtaking corners, from viewpoints with spectacular views to less travelled roads that show the most authentic side of the island. With great knowledge and passion, he conveyed the story of Faial and told us fascinating facts about his local flora. The tour in Land Rover was comfortable and safe, and thanks to it we were able to reach places that we would have difficulty accessing on our own. Throughout the journey he made us feel cared for and well accompanied, always willing to answer any questions with kindness and detail. Undoubtedly, an experience we recommend to anyone visiting the island.
