5.00Jason was fantastic. His ability to break down the history was fascinating and we really enjoyed it. It is a heavy subject matter. We took the train from the station from Munich and Jason let us fire off 100% of our questions from the get go. Spring for the private tour. If you’re like us, you want the most bang for your buck, and this is it.

From the very beginning, Lucy helped us understand not just the history, but the humanity behind it. Her explanation of how the Nazi Party came into power was clear, thoughtful, and deeply informative, giving us the context needed to truly grasp the magnitude of what followed. At Dachau, Lucy guided us with great care, respect, and compassion. She spoke honestly about the atrocities that took place, while allowing space for reflection. She never rushed us. Instead, she gave us the time we needed to absorb the emotions, the silence, and the weight of such a tragic place in history. It was not just a tour—it was an experience that will stay with our family forever. On the train ride back, Lucy continued to go above and beyond. We asked for restaurant recommendations, and both of her suggestions were perfect—thoughtful choices that helped bring a sense of comfort at the end of such a heavy day. Lucy is not only knowledgeable, but genuinely compassionate and deeply respectful of the history she shares. 5.00Lucia was amazing! She met us at our doorstep and guided us by train to Dachau and then proceeded to give us an amazing and knowledgable tour of the Concentration Camp. HIGHLY recommend this tour AND Lucia!

1.00I read all the amazing reviews of the informative guides. So I booked the tour thinking we would have a informative guide also. Sadly we did not have one. Yes we were met at our Hotel. Yes we were guided to the train then bus to get to Dachau. Our guide Eric was more focused on talking about his life story on walk and the train. We did not receive information about Dachau on the way to Dachau, the way others stated they did. We received a highlight of items throughout while there. He made jokes laughing during the tour which I felt were completely inappropriate for the place we were at. Sadly I see his name not mentioned in any of the reviews. We felt like he helped out when they had no one to fill in. We visited during Octoberfest. We would have rather not been able to book the tour than given a guide not good at his job. We just returned from Poland from visiting Auschwitz Birkenau. The guides we had were top notch, professional and informative. So now I can positively say this tour of Dachau was not done well all due to the guide we received.
