  I have taken Viator tours all over the world and have been more than satisfied with all of them, except this one. To start with he was a half hour late and he said he had car trouble which can be understandable. We were being picked up in front of the Tokyo Hilton and usually they pull up and we get in. He decided to park downstairs and we had to travel downstairs, walk through the parking lot to get in the car. This seemed to be a theme throughout the entire tour. We were never dropped off in front of any of the places we were supposed to go he parked quite far away. We were literally crawling out of the car in parking lot and walking long distances. We are 270-year-old ladies that are relatively fit but we told him we had just gotten in yesterday and knew nothing of Tokyo. He explained very little and really only answered questions rather than telling us about Tokyo. he was trying to drive us places and didn’t realize that things were closed because it was the golden week. I would assume that A knowledgeable Guide would know these things.. quite frankly the only time we really enjoyed the tour was the two times that we basically told him we’d meet him later so that we could do some exploring on our own. By looking on our phones and seeing the translations at the several places, we were by ourselves, we learned more about where we were than what the guy told us. There were things we told him we wanted to do that we never did and there were things he said he was going to take us to do that. We told him we didn’t want to do. But he still took us there anyway. I felt like we spent most of the time driving around big buildings that we knew nothing about.. finally when the Tour was mercifully over, he starts pulling past the hotel trying to go park. We told him we just wanted to be dropped off in front of the hotel and he seemed rather confused. At one point when we told him if we could be dropped off at a place he said well this is Tokyo you walk I truly feel the experience was because of the driver and a tour with a different driver would probably be much better as our all the other Viator tours I have taken. I did ask him about the tours that he had given and he said he was doing this for a friend so I am assuming he is perhaps not the normal tour guide

  Litter stated that the driver would pick you up at your hotel. However, even though we were dropped off by a driver of the day before our drivers couldn’t seem to get to the hotel so the actual tour started about an hour after it should have. Then we were told that the car we should’ve been on died and so we had a different driver and a different car. No bottled water as stated in the tour inclusions. The gentleman who ran the tour was nice but at times had difficulty with English. Because I had asked previously about what time to purchase the sky tickets and was told 1130 it made it really difficult to see other areas because of that timing. In the end, my Husband and myself decided that it just wasn’t worth it any longer and we ended the tour about one so a total tour of about 4 1/2 hours.
