  Portugal Green Walks staff was easy to work with and helped us plan our walk for our specific speed and desired locations. They were communicative and responsive. The hotels were perfect for us and easy to find along the route. When I go back, I will contact them again.

• Excellent Experience using Portugal Green Walks

  We asked Ana from Portugal Green Walks to organise our trip from Oporto to Santiago. The communication was excellent straight from when we made our first enquiry, and they were able to organise the trip to suit our requirements. Everything went very smoothly; we were met at our first hotel by their representative who gave us well prepared documents and a briefing. We were on a self-guided trip which involved quite a few hotels and a couple of taxi journeys as well. All the hotels were great and carefully chosen by Portugal Green Walks to be as close to our route as possible. All taxi transfers turned up on time. They also organised luggage transfers and this also happened very smoothly without any issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending Portugal Green Walks if you are considering making this type of trip, I certainly hope to use them again.

  PGW were fabulous to organise our 6day Atlantic walk of the Portuguese coast. The emails were informative and organised, their suggestions were great, the accommodations were fantastic and everything went to plan. • Seamless adventure

  We started our walk on May 16th, Portuguese Camino from Porto to Santiago. The Camino was even more amazing and rewarding than I expected it to be. What made the experience even better was how perfect everything was that PGW organized for us. Our stays were so nice almost always right on the path. Also the baggage transfers were seamless. They provide an app that was so helpful for as I was responsible for navigation. I couldn't recommend them any higher.

  We had a beautiful and memorable experience, meeting lovely people and being close to nature, and testing ourselves, walking in the wonderful Douro region.  Besides having a problem with the App on one of the days, that led to a 2 mile detour, everything else went to plan and we appreciated the support you were able to provide when we arrived in Porto during a rail strike. If you are able to do this, it is an experience not to be missed with a very supportive team to assist you during your travels.

  We recently completed our second Camino adventure with the assistance and organization of Portugal Green Walks (PGW), and we could not be happier with our experience. From the very first moment we started corresponding with them, more specifically Ms. Paola Abreu, it was clear we were dealing with a truly reputable and professional company. She was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, guiding us every step of the way with great care and attention to details. We asked for a tailor-made itinerary not exceeding 20 km per day. We opted also for the luggage transfer service, which worked flawlessly. One month prior to our walk, we received detailed information about the walk, the villages that we would cross, about their history, mythical buildings and bridges, topography of the land, and how to access our accommodation. These information were very useful to us. From day 1 to day 14, everything ran smoothly and on time, allowing us to simply enjoy the Camino without stress or worries. Two transfers by car which were planned also ran smoothly. However on day 14, an issue arose concerning the hotel bathroom. We booked this hotel for a triple room for three nights. My sister-in law came to spend three days with us ( my wife and me) in Santiago and for a tour to Finisterre. The shower cabinet has a transparent glass side and worst a giant mirror adjacent to it. As we were three persons to share this room, she was very embarrassed to use the bathroom as any body in the room could see in the shower cabinet. We complained about this to the hotel and asked for another room. But the hotel was full. The day after, I received a phone call from Ms Paola of PGW, informing me that she has already booked a single room for me in another nearby hotel. I supposed the hotel representative conveyed this information to PGW. We were very delighted by her responsiveness to address this issue. This shows that the PGW accompanies you through out the walk and cares for your comfort. We reached home very satisfied and the camino experience for sure would remain in our mind for very very long. We would highly recommend Portugal Green Walks to anyone considering walking the Camino or planning a similar adventure. We are already looking forward to hire their excellent services again for our next adventure by the Grace of God!

  From the very first email to Portugal Green Walks the service has been outstanding. Every question was responded to promptly even when we were altering the route. Ana was incredibly supportive and professional in the design of the route, distances planned and accommodations. Having now have completed the Camino Portuguese in the end of April to mid-May 2025, I am in awe of the seamless service provided by PGW and the beauty of walking in Portugal and Spain to Santiago de Compostela. If you are thinking of doing the Camino, do not hesitate to reach out to PGW. Ana and everyone associated with PGW are awesome. I am appreciative of such a great journey.

  The walk through the vineyards was fascinating everyday. The accommodation was excellent every day with no problems with luggage. And Ana provided us with clear instructions throughout. The Ride with GPS App made navigating a breeze and worked in flight mode to save battery.

  If there were a 5 star rating for Portugal Green Walks I would have to give it a 10! The advisors were prompt in replies, and know everything there is to know logistically about these journeys. I am so grateful. They were with me a year before in the planning of the trip, and so helpful in getting to Santiago. I will definitely sign up with this firm again!!!
