Fukue Samurai Mansion Furusato Museum
歴史散歩 : 武家屋敷街 福江城から歩いてすぐのところにあるこの通りは、かつて藩の上級武士が住んでいた街。 この地域の最大の特徴は、主郭の上に丸石をゆるく積み上げた独特の「こぼれ石」の壁である。 この石は侵入者がよじ登ろうとすると倒れて音を立てるように設計されており、防御の役割を果たしていたとされる。 苔むした石垣と黒い木の垣、緑豊かな木々のコントラストが、のどかなノスタルジックな雰囲気を醸し出し、まるで江戸時代にタイムスリップしたような気分にさせてくれます。
Gotoshi Teien Indenyashiki & Kokojigaike
三方を海に囲まれたユニークな日本最後の海城跡を発見。 見どころは「心」の字をかたどった伝統的な庭園池「心字ヶ池 」 。 地元の黒い火山岩とツバキが織りなす国の名勝で、五島武士の美の世界を静かに垣間見ることができます。

5.00This guided tour was rich with history. It was exceptional however because of the warm, generous and joyful community who joined us in addition to our guide Nicholas. Akiko (the president of the tourism association of Fukue Island!) Yoshi and we even met Goto-san! Their happiness, laughter and smiles, their enjoyment of each other, and love of Fukue Island captured our hearts. It felt like we were with family

5.00It was a very fun and relaxing walking tour. Of course it was nice to be exposed to the history and cultural assets, but meeting a local guide made the tour even more enjoyable. Both of the guides were immigrants, and I could feel their love for the Gotō Islands. Foreign guests who attended the event seemed to be impressed. I'd like to spend more time next time and enjoy the Gotō Islands.
