  EPIC! My wife and I rafted the Jondachi and Hollin rivers with Tim & Alex of the River People. It was an adventure of a lifetime! We had to hike down a steep trail to start, but it was worth it, as these rivers are pristine, with no sign of civilization except a few rope bridges. Alex organized everything perfectly, and proceeded us in a kayak to see if any trouble was ahead. Tim was the perfect raft master, and worked hard to keep us upright in the class 4 rapids. The rivers are narrow, with almost continuous rapids, and beauty all around. We have rafted all over the world, and this was our favorite experience! Alex's wife Adriana even met us at the takeout point with a cold 6 pack of beer! Highly recommend......just do it!

  They are a very professional outfit who put my initial nerves at rest. Victor - our rafting guide was great, his English perfect and I felt extremely safe all day. There was a safety kayak too (Tim). Having local guides allows you a greater understanding of the area and culture. We had a great day rafting the Jondachi-Hollin river - stunning scenery right in the heart of the rainforest. We were told the other rivers that other tours operate on aren't quite what they used to be due to illegal mining exploitation, so this was definitely the best option to get unspoiled scenery and we think River People are the only ones who raft this river. There are likely other companies who do the rafting in Tena cheaper, but these guys were definitely worth paying for - we got what we paid for, for sure. Transfers from Tena were included in the price along with a delicious and substantial lunch.

  Absolutely amazing trip. We were newbies on the white water and were somewhat hesitant on our abilities, but Victor and Tim made us feel comfortable out there and the whole trip was a dream of excitement and lush green, watery adventure.   Super guys! We felt really safe and had a really fun time. We ask all kinds of questions about the culture which is hard to find elsewhere. Give them a thumbs up!

• “The 3 Stooges Go Class IV Rafting”

  This group of “3 Stooges” had an incredible day rafting the Jondachi & Hollin Class IV rapids on Dec14th. Victor was an amazing guide. Very safety oriented, skilled, knowledgeable and especially a lot of fun. Jeyson, aka JJ, was our safety/rescue kayaker and was truly amazing as well. He had a helmet mounted GoPro and we’re hoping to access those videos soon. “Hi Five”. Between multiple Very Exciting runs where we all surprisingly enough managed to stay in the raft “Hi Five”, Victor also had us swimming with the “small” piranha, jumping from “small” cliffs and climbing “small” waterfalls. Victor & JJ even prepared a gourmet shore lunch for us ( you have the option to eat on the boat as well due to sand flies). It was a fantastic experience and Victor’s excellent skills and reading of the river kept us right side up and in the raft. “HiFive” to us all.
