  Had an amazing time here in May. First time canyoning for me. My son had no fear but I was little apprehensive of some of the jumps as not great with heights, but Mike and Andy were fantastic guides. Highly recommended

  We spent a most enjoyable afternoon on Easter Sunday with Mike at Murray's canyon.We were initially concerned due to the relative cold temperatures (it sleeted on our way there) but we were given 3 layers of wetsuit to wear including gloves and socks which made a massive difference. We were first timers to canyoning so were not 100% sure what to expect but Mike's instructions were really clear and we felt very safe throughout.We really enjoyed the abseiling and the slides in particular. We would definitely recommend.

  I did this trip as part of my holiday while staying in Rockcliffe near Dalbeattie. I didn’t really know what to expect really and I’ve never abseiled or done anything like this before. There was no need to worry because I was in extremely capable and inspiring hands. Mike was amazing how he took a group of 8 of us down the different pools, taught us and got us to practice abseiling skills before we did it for real. It was so much fun and I’m scared of heights but with Mikes help I managed to abseil both parts and achieve things that looked so scary and it really built up my confidence. On my way home I did the fastest Zip Wire in the world at Snodownia which was made much easier because of the amazing experience I had canyoning. I don’t know how Mike manages to maintain his energy and enthusiasm, keeps everyone safe and able to push beyond their personal limits if they so choose and make it such a fun and enjoyable time. So empowering and I can’t wait to do it again next year when I’m back on my holidays! Thanks ever so much Mike not just for the day but answering my questions the days before. Absolutely brilliant experience that I would highly recommend! Also you get photos too that Mike takes - if you have him as your guide - a great bonus! In my opinion it’s such a great value for money excursion and experience and can completely make your holiday!

  Mike was a fantastic guide, he adjusted his instructions for all the different abilities in our party and we all felt very safe. We had a brilliant time, so much fun. It was just the right amount of challenge to get our adrenaline going. All the equipment was provided and was of a high standard. Mike took some great photos and video so we could relive our adventure.

  We had a brilliant half day of canyoning with Mike. A family of four, ranging in age from 16-60 and ranging in bravery from 0-10! The kit was good, and we were given a comprehensive safety briefing. The canyoning experience was such a lot of fun, and Mike made it feel safe and achieveable for all of us at our various levels of ability. It was great to be in the river and experience the pools and falls from a different perspective. We all managed the slides, jumps and abseils despite initial fear and would definitely do it again. Thanks so much for a great experience!

  Had an amazing white water tubing experience guided by Mike and Nat. We were on holiday in the area and a party of four of us family and friends took part in the experience. We spent the afternoon tubing ( approximately 4 hours ) and finished with some jumps! It was great fun! We never felt rushed at any point, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mike shared great photos and would highly recommend!

  We tried Gorge Scrambling with Galloway Canyoning while on holiday in Galloway Forest Park and had such an incredible time that we booked a canyoning trip the following week! Mike and Victoria were friendly, engaging, and made the experience fun from start to finish. Mike’s ability to connect with people of all ages, teach clearly, and inspire confidence was outstanding, with the occasional impressive trick thrown in too. His knowledge, attention to detail, and encouraging approach made the day unforgettable. Can’t recommend Galloway Canyoning highly enough!

  Great experience. Although very young children were there, who had visibly difficulty to cope with the way, he always got everyone through safely. We had a lot of fun too! Thank you for that.

  My two sons (12&14) and I had an absolutely fantastic time with Galloway Canyoning. Joe was so professional and friendly. He took us well outside our comfort zones challenging us to do things I never thought we would be able to do. The boys grew in their confidence as well as developing new skills. It was clear that Joe has huge expertise in keeping us safe at all times by his careful and clear instructions and the time he took to make sure everything was done just right. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable day.

  2 families with kids across a big age range. We had a brilliant time gaining our first experience of canyoning with Mike. His patience, enthusiasm and clear plan to make the session as inclusive as possible for our entire group (based on individual desire for each challenge) made our day. Don’t think we could have had a better guide and the amount of confidence he instilled was amazing. Made it easy to watch your kids jump off a massive high rock into a pool! The setup on the day was excellent, the provided kit was of a great quality and a lot of time was spent making sure everyone had properly fitting wetsuits to ensure we were as warm as possible. Felt safe at all times which meant we could just have fun Can’t recommend this activity and company enough. If you’ve not done canyoning before and are in this area go for it, you’ll love it. We’re already planning a return trip with a different group of friends.
