Lincoln is an amazing guide! Viator not So Much

5.00I loved every minute of this tour and feel like I made some new friends along the way. Lincoln is a terrific guide! Big hiccup,’tho, with Viator because the tour was booked for 10am and at 7pm the night prior, I was notified the new meeting time was 7:45am! Lincoln wasn’t at the meeting place (the clock tower in the Main Zurich station hall), because he was told to be at the Lucerne train to pick up people, and there I was with no one else at the meeting place and hit the Viator-provided link to get directions which sent me to the museum across the street! I also called their number to ask for help, They did not answer the phone! So Lincoln, five stars, Viator=Fail.
One very amazing day in Switzerland.

5.00Mary conducted a very good tour for us. She took us on a quick tour of Lucern and then we went to Glacier Express at Andermatt. The view from the train is marvellous.

5.00Easy meeting point, every instructions clear from the beginning with our Guide Lincoln. Despite you have to take more than one train to get Glacier Express Station, it was fun and interesting. Loved the places we visited on this tour but needed more time for shopping and eat something delicious. All train tickets to reach the destination were included. I think the best season to visit is in winter. Lincoln was friendly and patient all along, resolving doubts about the itinerary and information about the places visited. Highly recommended places provided by Lincoln. The only detail is that in the Glacier Express car, we were not allowed to order food à la carte, only simple drinks and commercial snacks. In short, very good activity to perform and get to know the spectacular landscapes that Switzerland has to offer.
Fantastic tour guide. Lincoln really inhanced a wonderful excursion and it was well worth it.

3.00The Glacier Express, Swiss Alps & Luzerne tour are worthwhile if the timetables work. We had sufficient contact with the tour operator on when/where/time to meet for the excursion. We arrived 30 minutes before we were to meet. 5 others were there as well to leave from Zurich. The tour operator emailed the day before that he/she would be there 15 minutes prior. Scheduled time was 10am. No one showed. Contacted tour operator through text at 10:15, then attempted to cancel and get refund. Guide shows up at 10:24. She was late not due to her fault but because the tour operator had her in Basel at 9:15am doing something else and there was no way she could be in Zurich at the appointed time. We were denied our claim for a refund. 4 of the people had already left and 1 remained with us. The guide was given permission to continue the trip to Lucerne and provided the tickets electronically. We had to run to get the train (not good for people over 80). Bottomline is that we made the trip, but because we took a later train to Lucerne, we did not have sufficient time to do a relaxing tour, shop, eat, etc. Everyone should experience the Glacier Express if everything goes according to plan. For what we received, it was overpriced.
