Groninger Museum

フローニンゲン美術館の建物は、大胆で型破りなデザインで有名な現代建築の印象的な例です。 1994年に開館したこの美術館の建築は、アレッサンドロ・メンディーニ、フィリップ・スタルク、コープ・ヒンメルブ（l）・オなど、複数の著名な建築家の共同作業の成果である。建物の外観は、形、色、素材が鮮やかに混ざり合い、ヴァービンディングスカナール（Verbindingskanaal）に沿って際立つ、視覚的に魅力的な構造となっています。博物館は、相互に連結された複数のパビリオンで構成され、それぞれ独自のデザインとキャラクターを持っています。メンディーニが設計した中央のパビリオンは、金色の塔と明るい色のファサードが特徴で、その他の部分はガラス、金属、コンクリートの革新的な使用を取り入れている。多様な建築様式は、美術館の美術コレクションの折衷的な性質を反映している。

'Peerd van Ome Loeks'

「ピアード・ファン・オーメ・ロークス」はフローニンゲン中央駅の近くに位置する有名な像で、地元の民俗学の象徴であり、愛されているランドマークとなっている。英語で「Loeks' Horse」と訳されるこの像は等身大の馬を描いており、Loeksという男とその忠実な馬に関する地元の有名な物語への賛辞である。彫刻は物語の本質を捉えており、馬は誇らしげに立っており、忠誠心と強さを想起させる。芸術家ヤン・デ・バートによって制作され、1959年に除幕されたこの像は、フローニンゲンのパブリックアートの象徴となっている。ブロンズ製で、時代を超越した不朽のクオリティです。

The audio tour was a very nice experience. The city of Groningen from the water is very different. Everything on the boat was well cared for and well guided. The boats also look very neat. Definitely recommended for a city trip to Groningen.

What a nice concept, the audio tour is tip-top in order! My Groningen experience is complete by watching the city from the water, and hearing some nice background information about the city. The staff was very friendly, and the boat looked beautiful.

Mega fun tour. Very much enjoyed the city of Groningen and nice to see the city from this way. There was also a mega nice skipper who sailed us fantastically through the city.

We had such a fantastic time on the canal cruise in Groningen! The boat tour itself was already beautiful, but the optional audio tour really made the experience complete. It was interesting, easy to follow, and full of fun facts about the city’s history, architecture, and hidden gems. The atmosphere on board was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Groningen!
