料理の旅は、セーデルマルムの南の玄関口、スカンストゥルから始まります。かつては工業地帯であったが、伝統と現代の都市生活が出会う活気ある地区へと進化している。ブティックやカフェ、地元企業などが立ち並ぶ賑やかなゲッタン通りを散策します。まずは60年以上の歴史を持つ家族経営のシーフードショップで、珍味を味わいながらスウェーデンの豊かな漁業の伝統について学びます。トレンディなSoFoを歩きながら、職人のチーズや生肉から伝統的なスウェーデン料理とモダンなスウェーデン料理まで、厳選されたレストランや専門店を訪れます。道中では、この地域の歴史、文化、料理の遺産を探索します。旅の締めくくりは、30年近く手作りのプラリネやペストリー、ケーキが作られている有名なチョコレート工房。スウェーデンのフィカで締めくくり、手作りのお菓子や濃厚なホットチョコレートを楽しみながら、風味豊かなセーデルマルム散策の締めくくりに。

We had a great time with Oliver over 3 1/2 hours learning lots about the Swedish culinary culture and history. Our tummy’s were completely full but the end! We highly recommend this tour - lots of stops at what look to be uber local places and lovely food choices. Easy walking and the day was stellar in terms of weather so a perfect ambiance to enhance the overall experience. We have done lots of food tours and this ranks in our top list.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour and about our guide, Kristen, who was funny, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. The six well-chosen stops offered us tasting menus that provided a range af Swedish flavors, from herring to meatballs and even surstromming-flavored salt. (I doubt I could have handled actual surstromming!) Thank you, Kristen, for a fantastic afternoon!

The guide was very friendly. But I didn’t think all the places they took us to were good Swedish food choices. For example, we went to a Ramen restaurant and the ramen was tasteless.

Kristen was a wonderful guide for our afternoon walking tour of Södermalm, friendly, warm, and knowledgeable with a passion for both the culture and the history of the neighborhood. Portions were frequently generous, so I wouldn’t plan a large meal before or after if you’d like to finish each dish. Highly recommended!

I love to experience new places through food but I have to admit, I did not have high expectations for Scandinavian food. WOW- was I proved wrong. This tour hit all the highlights, delicious bites, fun facts and history- all made so enjoyable by Oliver. His passion and love for Stockholm food was contagious. Highly recommend.
