江戸時代に旅人や武士、大名が利用した旧東海道の保存区間を巡るガイド付きハイキングツアー。 箱根の伝統工芸品「寄木細工」で有名な村「畑宿」に立ち寄ります。 途中、約400年続く歴史ある甘酒茶屋で休憩。 元箱根では、天気がよければ芦ノ湖や富士山の雄大な景色を眺めることができます。 ツアーの最後には、自然に囲まれ、湖に浮かぶ象徴的な鳥居が印象的な、穏やかな箱根神社を訪れます。
ハイキングルートは、旧東海道沿いに様々な文化財が残されており、日本遺産に登録されている。
ハイキングルートには上り坂区間が含まれるため、ハイキングに適した靴と服装を推奨します。
日本の古代トレイルを歩きながら歴史を感じたいという旅行者に最適なツアーです。

What To Expect
Hatajuku Yosegi Kaikan
箱根湯本駅（集合場所）から登山口までバスで15分、石畳の道を40分ほど歩くと、箱根の伝統工芸品「寄木細工」で有名な畑宿がある。 手芸店や畑宿寄木会館などを訪れ、日本の伝統的な工芸品を見学する。
Lake Ashinoko
畑宿からバスで少し行くと、江戸時代の旅人のように甘酒やレースケーキが楽しめる甘酒茶屋があります。 茶屋でリフレッシュした後は、芦ノ湖まで旧東海道を1時間ハイキング。 天気が良ければ芦ノ湖や富士山の眺めも楽しめます。

5.00Ray is an excellent guide. We needed to change our experience due to the heavy rains. So he took us to Odawara, and we toured the castle and an ancient tea house. It was a great day! I would highly recommend Ray and his Tour.

5.00If I could give our guide Ray 100 stars I would. He took us all over Odawara and was very knowledgeable about the area. The Tour was wonderful! We had to switch from the old Tokaido trail due to the weather. And I am so glad we were able to be flexible and have a great day. I would highly recommend our tour guide Ray.

5.00Ray was an outstanding guide despite the terrible rainy weather. He first checked the hiking trail himself and wisely prioritized our safety when conditions were not suitable. Instead, he adapted the itinerary perfectly, taking us to Odawara Castle and a beautiful shrine where I collected goshuin. As soon as the weather improved, he brought us back to Hakone Shrine, making sure I didn’t miss this highlight. Ray is knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and truly cares about his guests. He turned a difficult day into a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him!

He told a good story sharing his in-depth knowledge of the history & culture, catered to my every interest, led me to many fascinating places along the Old Tokaido Road, and was overall a wonderful guide to spend the day with. 5.00We had an unforgettable day with Ray. He was an absolute joy to spend the day with. He was patient and accommodating when I asked about adding some fishing in for my 15yo. He just started curating tours so don't let the lack of reviews concern you. I would recommend him to anyone! I can't say enough and we consider him a friend now. 💚 Also the beauty and history of the area is beyond special.

5.00Ray is an excellent guide. He was so kind and accommodating to our family. He catered the hike to our kids’ abilities, and they loved it. He is so knowledgeable about the history of the area, and we all learned so much. He also arranged a lovely tea house experience and made sure we finished with sufficient time to reach our train. Everyone in the family loved him, and we know you will too.
