4.00Captain was personable. The boat was nice. Only problem was we didn’t catch anything. It seemed expensive but it was with our family so we decided to take the trip.

5.00We planned an entire trip to Alaska for my dad’s 70th birthday so he could fish for halibut. Captain Billy did not let us down! There were 6 of us and we could not keep all lines in the water. He gave everyone an extra 30 minutes and let us run out of bait because our cruise did not leave for a few more hours. We will be back to Alaska and we will be back with Captain Billy!

5.00Captain Billy and his daughter were extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and the wildlife. They made us feel quite comfortable which made for a great trip and we caught plenty of fish.

5.00Excellent in every way. We caught a lot of halibut so that was great, but honestly for comfort, the hot stove in the cabin (and having a toilet available) that keeps everything toasty and comfortable. For those of you who travel with adventurers, but maybe are not the most adventurous yourself, there is great cell signal through the entire tour! Billy is a great guy and will share so much local culture with you along the way that you will have an amazing experience. We went for fishing and also got sea otters, numerous whales , sea lions , bears on the shore and bald eagles fishing!
Average Trip, Probably just a bad day.

3.00It was a nice boat, and the guide was super nice and informative. The fishing was sub par, which isn’t always the guides fault, but the charter only lasted 3 hours. I felt like it was an expensive trip for only 3 hours and the price to send fish home from Hoonah is double the price than most places in SE Alaska.

5.00Captain Billy has a great knowledge of the fishing in his area. He is also a very nice guy! I felt like I’ve known him for a long time! There were 6 of us on his boat, and we all caught fish. I would highly recommend him for a great fishing experience.

5.00Captain Billy was AWESOME!!!!! Our family caught tons of fish, we were up close and personal with whales and saw a family of bears along the shoreline. It could not have been a better experience!!!!

5.00What more can you say about Captain Bill and his first mate Taylour? They go above and beyond, out of their way to make you have the best time. The Halibut sure cooperated and we caught 16 between Jenna and I. Her largest was 36” and my largest was just shy of 40”! Captain Bill and Taylour shared stories of their lives on the island and their ancestors! So cool. The fishing was more than outstanding, but then Captain Bill asked if we would like to see a bunch of whales nearby, and that was an amazing sight of these glorious beasts, in their backyard. Such a great addition! On the ride back, he also was in search for reported coastal brown bears, that had been spotted nearby, but they dashed into the thick green. Thank you both for a most memorable experience. Can’t wait to book again on our next Alaskan cruise
