  The guide was 45 minutes late. the itinerary included a tour of the Olympic Stadium...we looked at it from the parking lot. It also included a visit to the parliament building. We just drove by it. We were told we would have free time at a local market. The opening time of the market was after we left the area. The rock church was interesting for the 5 minutes we were allowed to go into it.

  The tour started an hour after the time printed on the ticket, but finished on time. Consequently, each stop was truncated. Although the ticket identified several stops included free admission, the only attraction entered was the library. Some stops, for example, Parliament, we drove by and our guide pointed out but we did not even stop. Narration by the guide was brief concerning the city or it's history. Most stops were 15 to 20 minutes.

• Stay away! We got scammed out of $600 !

  We had a terrible experience with this tour company. I use Viator all the time, but this tour provider has terrible communication. We got to the meeting spot 10 minutes early and couldn’t find anyone with a “Helsinki Gems” sign. Evidently they had some code word “JAT” that we were supposed to know to look for on a sign. We never got a message to look for such sign. We missed the excursion even-though we were standing RiGHT THERE ! We even got on the bus and asked if this was the “Helsinki Gems” tour and the bus driver said “I don’t know the name of the excursion. I just drive the bus.” We called Viator and they could not reach the tour provider to try to help us connect with them. Then we started calling the tour provider ourselves and we could not reach them either. I contacted the tour provider later in the afternoon when I could get a wifi signal to message them on the app, and I still have no answer from them. Viator is denying our request for a refund because the tour provider says we didn’t show. We were standing right next to the bus yet had no way of knowing the person holding a “JAT” sign was our tour. Very frustrating and disappointed in this tour company and Viator who won’t take care of a long time customer . I’ll think twice before I book Viator again.

  The 3 hour tour was fast paced and rigid on time stops. At a minimum, it should be 4 hours as billed. Not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues.

  Somewhat disorganized. Guide was difficult to understand.. I object to being asked to pay for church entry when I paid $400 for my wife and me.

  Friendly and kind tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and eager to show us her city and all it has to offer. She kindly added our sons to the tour when their excursion was cancelled.
