4.00Good trip-interesting place and the old city was very cool. The river was beautiful and the transportation and guide were excellent. Shashi helped us so much to plan a tours for a wide variety of family members-excellent service!
Drive through Ghats is good

4.00The distance between Indore and Maheshwar is approximately 75 km. There are two routes and both are good and you will take one hour forty five minutes to two hours. The route through Jam Gate is picturesque through Ghats. Maheshwar is famous for Narmada Ghats, temples and ofcourse Maheshwari sarees. You can plan to spend about two hours plus if you are not on a religious tour. Plan to visit during Nov to Feb.

4.00Its a very simple old style travelling. No booking etc. required. Just catch a bus for Maheshwar from the Sarvate Bus stand at Indore, adjacent to the Railway Station . Most buses give a decent ride and in 2 to 2 1/2 hours you reach the Maheshwar bus stop in less than Rs. 200/-. Buses are available from 8:15 am and last bus from Maheshwar to Indore is around 7:15pm. A walk of less than half an hour from the bus stop takes you to the Maheshwar fort, which is at a slight elevation.
