A great day out in the forest

Claudia was very helpful with lots of advice in advance. I had planned to do the 3 day trek but it wasn't the right time of year and I had to pick to do the first or last day. I think it was a good choice for me to do the day in the forest as I was most interested in the plant life. Odin was my guide on the day and he was super friendly. I don't speak Portuguese but his English was very good and he gave lots of background about the plants and comparison with the forest in Rio. He matched the things that I was interested in - looking at different details in the forest - and he did a good pace. The car for the transfer to the start of the walk was nice too.
