Mel is a true ambassador for Hong Kong, and the Heritage Walk was the perfect introduction to this incredible city. Warm, knowledgeable, and a natural storyteller, she tailored the tour entirely to our needs and set a pace that felt just right. Her insights as a long-time local brought the city to life: from feng shui principles woven into the skyline to a fascinating crash course in tea culture and the unforgettable atmosphere of Man Mo Temple. And the experience didn't end with the tour: Mel stayed in touch afterwards, offering tips and recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. Truly above and beyond. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was Melanie and she did a great job educating us on the history of Hong Kong. She also provided an informative walking tour of the Central District. There were many good stops including a ride on the Ding-ding Tram. Highly recommended!

We booked the ‘Hong Kong Heritage Walk’ 3 days before it was scheduled and turned up at the HK GPO (2 Connaught Place) 15 minutes early and waited for 80 minutes - no guide turned up (or other participants) and we received no messages. Now we understand unforeseen events happen but we used the Viator - chat with tour provider facility - and were ignored 3 times! We left the meeting place over 1 hour after the agreed time (just in case there’d been a difficultly getting there) but no open came. Later in the day I contacted Viator directly asking for an explanation and a refund; the operator replied and firstly tried to ‘cut me off’ because I couldn’t type my response within 5 minutes; after I re contacted Viator, I was told they had no information from the tour operator but would process a refund; I asked that they also let me have an explanation for what went wrong; 36 hours have now passed and I have received no refund or explanation! I would strongly urge anyone thinking about this tour to think very carefully. Maybe there is a good explanation but why aren’t I being told (or refunded)

Martin was the perfect guide for a fascinating walking tour around Central and Admiralty areas of Hong Kong, taking in many key colonial buildings. As someone who has lived in Hong Kong for 50 years (including many years working in the Hong Kong police), he brought to life territory’s modern history as we explored these fascinating districts together. Martin is thoroughly versed in Hong Kong life and I would recommend his tours.

We did the heritage tour with Martin on our first morning in Hong Kong. It was a fantastic introduction to the city, particularly the British/European side. Martin was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and also gave plenty of helpful recommendations for the rest of our time here. We enjoyed our time with him thoroughly.

Martin Heyes was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history, buildings, and area in Hong Kong. We walked several miles, about 3 1/2 hours in total, but he was sensitive to the heat and our endurance and stopped at several shady locations to share more information. I knew nothing about Hong Kong before the trip, so this was a perfect introduction. We learned about WWII, the British, Japanese and Chinese influences in the area, and also why he chose to stay and calls it home! We discussed everything from the war and Japanese invasion, to architecture, cricket courts, parks, the world's longest covered pedestrian escalator, Scottish kilts, shopping markets, historical jails now cafes, and statues once stolen, now returned. He infuses humor with history!! I highly recommend these tours!!
