What To Expect
Inca Trail

5.00We did the 1-day Inca Trail with Kenko Adventures and our guide was Miguel Angel. It was truly an awe-inspiring adventure trekking on the same path which the Inca people had taken to reach Machu Picchu. Our guide, Miguel was very knowledgeable and very encouraging, especially when we have two children with us. He was able to moderate the pace of our trek, while at the same time encouraging us to push onwards towards our destination. During the trek, Miguel would share pieces of information about the Inca Civilisation and the nature and geography of the region. The lunch break was great too, having our own tent, tables and chairs to rest and relax. The food was awesome too. We have gained lots of knowledge and invaluable experiences on this adventure and would highly recommend Kenko Adventures for their Inca Trail adventures.

5.00We had such an amazing experience touring with Alvin. We did a tour of Sacred Valley and the 1 day hike to Machu Picchu. He was on time, organized, and incredibly knowledge about the history of Peru. Without hesitation I would recommend this tour group to others!

5.00I did the Inca trail and Machu Picchu tour with Miguel. He’s a lovely guy. Very sincere, well connected to the culture and spiritual elements. Knows the history very deeply. Really lives and breathes this stuff. I had a great time, felt very in touch with the land, and got some epic photos. I’d definitely recommend it!

5.00It was a very special experience to walk through those unique places and accompanied by Elvis, a truly expert guide in Peruvian history in general and the Inca empire. You can also see the flora and fauna we were encountering along the way, as Elvis was also prepared for that. A plus: excellent photographer always attentive to the places where the best photos were obtained.

5.00Rudy guided us on an amazing hike and was a treasure trove of knowledge about Inca culture, the history of Machu Picchu, and the flora and fauna. The views were incredible and we had perfect weather in late April. Best hike I’ve ever done in my life. One of us was having stomach problems that day, and Rudy was extremely accommodating and helpful to go at the pace needed, and we ended up making good time and completing it. At the end of this hike, you feel very satisfied and accomplished.

5.00Elvis was our tour guide. He had deep knowledge and was fluent in multiple languages. He lead us on a 7 mile hike (mostly uphill) leading to Machu Picchu. It was a challenging hike and done partly in the rain. Elvis was consistently kind and patient and added tremendous detailed knowledge. His team picked us up at our hotel at the exact time they said would - precisely, 4:10am. The experience also included a fantastic and entertaining train ride. Elvis and his team was a high point of our trip. Thank you Elvis and team!

5.00Elvis my guide is a champion. He helped to achieve walking the 1 day Inca trail & successfully did it. We walked at my pace. He told me about the history of the area. Then through the Sun Gate for my first look at Machu Picchu. Thank you Elvis you are a terrific guide.

5.00Did the 1 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu and had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Rudy was amazing- he went above and beyond, was very informative about culture and history, took great pictures for us, was very friendly and helpful. The views were jaw dropping. Amazing scenery. Me and my friend are reasonably fit and in our late 20s- there were a few steep parts that had us huffing and puffing as the trail is moderately strenuous. But there is plenty of time to stop and rest if needed. Recommend acclimatising and doing light exercise at altitude for a day or 2 prior. A hiking bag was very helpful. Insect repellant and sunscreen are essential. We started the hike at 8am (4am bus from cusco) and we beat the rain which often comes at the late afternoon/ fog in late afternoon. Recommend going early in morning. Bring plenty of water. Hiking boots were helpful. They provided poles. Bring 2L of water. Bring rain jacket.
