Terrible ticket process

1.00Visitor sold ticket and then changed time. Sent text messages but no mention of time change. Text didn’t include code for ticket. Couldn’t find code. Emailed and called Viator with no answer or reply. Turns out time was changed to 4+ hours earlier and we didn’t know so tickets were invalid. We are very unhappy about our experience with this company. Over $500 in dispute. We went and bought directly at the pier and extended our stay to use the new Alcatraz tickets. We suggest you go buy direct and avoid the stress and loss of funds.

5.00Amazing experience, highly recommended. Be prepared to walk up steep inclines. Wear a jumper as it gets quite cold on top of the hill.

5.00Brilliant! Very well organised trip - very informative tour provided with a personal phone set which you can pause at any time. Alcatraz itself is a very steep climb but a golf cart was available every 15 mins to take people up if unable to walk. Fantastic views of the city. Prompt boat shuttle back whenever you wanted to return do no time limit
