  I booked at the very last minute and Hitomi agreed to start the tour later than originally planned so that we hoped to escape the rain. There she was,smiling and confident and showed me around a beautiful garden Later on we went to Sakurajima island and she gave me all the necessary explanations about the volcano. She then took me on a tour of the surrounding villages and sea sites. Thank you, Hitomi

  We had a lovely day with Hitomi! She was kind and informative. Her knowledge of Kagoshima and Japan made the tour interesting and informative. Hitomi also accommodated our dietary requests and took us to a farm to table vegetarian restaurant, which was on of the best meals we’ve ever had. We highly recommend this tour.

  Our Kagoshima tour with Hitomi was the highlight of our 4 stops in southern Japan. Our group of 6, grandparents, parents and adult children, all very much enjoyed it. We visited Sakurajima volcano, a delicious beef yakiniku meal and visit to an historical samurai family compound. Everyone was very comfortable in the van and on our ferry ride. Hitomi was a perfect guide, very well spoken and knowledgeable.

  It was the best decision to take a private tour for Kagoshima, we had Hitomi as our guide , very fluent in English and brought us to places we wanted to see, the best was her booking us for an authentic Wagyu lunch, it was the best steak we ever had. Though the weather was cloudy and rainy, Hitomi’s spirit is up and about. It was a great day after all.

  Our entire family enjoyed this tour. We were able to squeeze in quite a bit considering we had limited time due to this being a quick cruise port stop for us. From the foot baths to the observation areas, this was a great way to see the highlights of Kagoshima.

  Booked on short notice and with a huge family yet Hitomi was able to accommodate us. Hitomi is very knowledgeable and provided us with an excellent tour. The Wagyu beef lunch was excellent. Very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend.

  Despite the constant rain, the tour was still fantastic. The volcano and surrounding areas were beautiful. The old historic villa was fascinating and the gardens beautiful. We had the best tour guide Hitomi! Her knowledge and experience were exceptional and her English was excellent. The Wagyu beef lunch was the best meal of our entire trip thus far - excellent recommendation! We enjoyed our day with Hitomi very much. Just one point of clarification for those who are booking, the Taxi for the day is about $325 on top of the Viator fees. Well worth it for a large nice private van, but plan your trip and budget accordingly.

  This was truly a wonderful tour. We arrived in port on the cruise ship the Crystal Symphony and the volcano erupted in front of our eyes. Spectacular. Hitomi met us at the port had everything arranged. She chartered a very nice jumbo taxi with a very friendly professional driver. Real luxury. We took the Sakurajima ferry to the Sakuragjima volcano. We had an informative visit to the museum, a geothermal footbath, hike through the lava fields, and lookout over the bay. We had a fantastic lunch at Bakuro yakiniku restaurant. Lunch was not only delicious, but also a great experience. We toured of Senganen Garden. The Senganen Garden gave us a real feel for life as a Samurai. I wish we had more time; there is so much to see. Hitomi is a lovely person. Her English and grammar are excellent. Lots of stories and a wonderful sense of humor. She knows the history, the culture and geography. Very informative.
