参加者全員がカヤックの経験があり、泳ぐことができること。遠隔地ではセルフガイドのオプションとなります。 セルフレスキューができなければなりません
What To Expect
何をしているのかを把握して、ギアだけが必要なのか？ カヤックと安全装備と地図で武装させ、湖に連れ出し、ワナカ郡区までパドルで戻るのがミッションです。 最初にワナカから出発地点までお送りし、方向とパドルの距離を簡単に説明します。 これは、セルフガイドによるリモートセルフガイドツアーです。つまり、自分でツアーを行うということです。 このアクティビティを安全に行うには、カヤックに自信があり、最低でも200m泳げること、転覆した場合のセルフレスキューができることが必要です。 パドル距離はスタート地点によりますが、約9～12kmです。

5.00This is a fantastic way for the reasonably competent kayaker to spend four hours exploring Lake Wanaka. Ruby Island is a highlight. Good quality gear with a choice of singles/doubles/sea kayaks/SOTs.

5.00If you have basic competence in kayaking then this is a great way to have a half day on the beautiful waters around Wanaka. We and our hired kayaks ( Misson Glide singles) were taken by Austin in a water taxi a few kms out and dropped off on a beach, with all necessary equipment and instructions. We then made our way back, exploring as we went, over the next 3 1/2 hours. There are plenty of easy beach landing spots - a highlight was Ruby Island. It was great to have a few hours out there, with the only requirement being that we checked in by phone mid- trip. Definitely recommend this tour if you’re confident and competent in a kayak as a great way to see Wanaka from the water.

5.00Good service, good options for paddling or kayak and trips to the ruby island. Easy instructions. Very glad that we chose to do this, do it earlier in the morning before it became too hot, and this place is less busy than queenstown, with little disturbances from water skiing or sailing. Very peaceful and at your pace experience.
