  Great experience for the girls (me and my 3 kids: 12yrs, 16 and 17yrs). Recommend doing full makeup and half wig. So many beautiful kimono’s to choose from. Personal, cosy, authentic (I assume) and really great pictures. I also recommend taking pictures outside in the small garden, great light! Super fun experience! Calculate almost 2 hrs for the whole session. It takes quite some time to get the orinted photos, but you can hae them delivered to the hotel the same evening, very time efficient

  Excellent experience! I went there with my three girls and we booked a full package with a wig, makeup and dress. The pictures turned out super good! A very friendly staff! The waiting time for the pictures were very long, but we asked the staff to deliver the photos to our hotel which was very convenient! I highly recommend this experience. No need to walk in the streets with the full costume, but I recommend taking extra pictures outdoors. The you get a really nice light, showing the makeup and the beautiful dresses. Estimate 2 hours and 45 minutes for this session. The cleaning of our faces took a long time! But it was worth it, for sure!

  It’s a fun idea. There are many choices in the area to do this. I felt the makeup job was just ok. I was not pleased with the outcome in photos. I have seen others that were much better. It also took a long time waiting to get the photos.

  Where to start… kimonos are old and some dirty, the garments that go underneath are either old, ragged or both. Don’t expect a lot of cleanliness around the make up tools, the package (125 euros!) only includes 3 photos in a tired looking studio with props that are worn out. Any outside pictures you need to pay extra. The quality of the pictures is not the best and you can only use the kimono for another 10 minutes to take pictures in another studio next door with the worse light ever. Save yourself money, go to a tea ceremony with a kimono dressing, enjoy the activity and then take pictures around Kyoto with your own camera for a fraction of the price

  The transformation was incredible. After showing my family the photo book they were truly amazed and didn’t recognize me in the photos.. was here on a group trip and some of the members wish they would have done that before going back to the states
