  The trek was well organized and enjoyable. We had an excellent crew consisting of two guides, six porters and a cook. We had chosen the Lemosho route for eight days and this turned out to be a good decision. This gave us an extra day to acclimatize to the high altitude conditions with little oxygen and bitter cold. The views from the route are spectacular and the changing landscape was really beautiful. We enjoyed the trek with our crew because they were caring, friendly and informative about the mountain and many other things. I am satisfied with the service of our hosts. The equipment and food were top class. Thank you Jackson and team for the good care and great support.

  The trek was much tougher than we had anticipated and I actually have never attempted to do something so difficult. I think that the gradual incline is the mountain's own way of pulling you in and then once you have gone high and cannot easily turn back, it gets to you with the unending fatigue and lethargy from low oxygen, bitter cold and steep more elevations. The journey with our crew was incredibly nice, we were part of a larger group of 7climbers drawn from different parts of the world. The crew consisted of 4 guides, 21 porters, a cook and waiter all under the leadership of senior guide Omary. The were well prepared and had the right gear and equipment. They also had enough supplies for everyone including the guides. We ate well and the portions were generous. The sleeping spaces were clean and comfortable. These guys had thought and prepared everything about the trek. There were the oxygen bottles, a first aid kit, oxymeter, BP meter and even a portable toilet.... The crew regularly checked our health which was reassuring. We all made it to the summit and I am really happy that I had such an amazing crew supporting us. I strongly recommend this company as the ideal Kilimanjaro trekking operator.

  I had an amazing time climbing with Kilimanjaro heroes adventures! My guide, Wency Machiba and the rest of the crew, Kurwa-shef, Ramadhani, Regan, Subaru, Frank all looked after me to a very standard! I felt safe and looked after, in good company, and very well fed! Would definitely recommend climbing with this company, and the company should know how good this set of staff are. Please see attached images.

  This was an incredible experience in Africa doing Kilimanjaro together with my wife. We are a well traveled couple having visited lots of destinations in Asia, Europe and even South America, however this was our second time to step in Africa. We were quite nervous as we did not know much about Kilimanjaro as the little we knew came from stories by other travelers, however we were lucky to link up with Jackson the proprietor Maua Adventures because he helped us in every way. Communication was easy and he always got back to us within 5 hours despite the time difference. Honestly the experience was well planned and executed through an experienced crew of master mountain guides, energetic porters and an talented cook. They did exceptionally well in caring for us, leading us and accommodating us within the group. When I look at the quality of tents, mats, sleeping bags and camping furniture, it was all top class and very functional. There was a portable toilet, hot water for sponge baths, and many little things that made us comfortable. The weather would be clear during the day, however it rained heavily for 2 successive nights. Luckily the tents held up, keeping us dry. I am totally grateful to Jackson for putting everything together and giving us such a memorable trek.

  The Maua Adventures team that we had on the 6 days Kilimanjaro Macheme trek is the best crew ever. They made sure that we had an incredibly safe & comfortable trekking experience in the tough mountain conditions. They went over and above to keep us safe and maintain a conducive environment, taking care of the smallest details. The actual trek was quite challenging because of the terrain, low oxygen levels in the air, strong winds and bitter cold, however the incredible views and the elation of reaching the summit made every step worth the journey. The trip was more than just hiking as we got to interact closely with the locals and appreciate the culture and cuisine of the Tanzanian crew in addition to the 3 climbers from Australia, France and Germany. The mood at camp was super, characterized with lots of laughter, singing and discussions. I already miss the lively camaraderie we had on Kilimanjaro. Food was excellent with Barak servicing tasty hot meals at every sitting. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all great. I was also impressed with the quality of the tents, beddings and the other climbing gear. In a nutshell Maua Adventures had care of all the logistical details thereby letting us focus our energies on the trek without worry. Thank you Jackson for organizing such as great and memorable trek and for the reasonable costs.

  In September 2024 we successfully ascended to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro with guide Omery and Said. I appreciate the work that went into planning this successful trip done by Jackson our contact in Tanzania. He also doubles up as the manager of the local operator. He was easy to talk to and quickly understood what we were looking for, and planned our itinerary around it. He assigned a professional and able crew to support our effort and they did very well. They ensure that we were safe at all times, we had excellent food that was prepared by Priva our amazing cook. His meals are really delicious. He made sure that the portions were plentiful and balanced. We were provided with a good comfortable all weather tent, clean snugly sleeping bags and the other equipment was in excellent condition. We enjoyed the whole trip and when we finally reached the summit we were over the moon with joy. Kindly note that the course is tough and requires mental and physical strength, this coupled with a good crew behind you to ensure that you are safe, healthy and welfare is looked after. Thank you all for being there for us as we created wonderful memories in Africa.

  We had an amazing experience on Kilimanjaro and later on safari with guides Omary and Prince leading an incredible team of porters, cook and waiter. The team worked perfectly and supported our endeavor to summit in earnest. The food on the hike was surprising good. Cook Priva prepared the all the meals from scratch and actually made sure we had balanced meals. We all ate to our fill as the protions were generous. I appreciate the support from the crew a lot. They helped us reach the summit with the best service and support. The safari was awesome. We visited three amazing parks - Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We had Mutey as our guide and he is an amazing fellow. So knowledgeable, fun and witty. We never had a dull a moment and enjoyed every day to the fullest. I fully endorse this company for both Kilimanjaro and Safari

  We had a very nice experience on Mount Kilimanjaro with guide Musa. We did the 6-day Lemosho route, which was quite exhausting, but managed to reach the summit as we were supported by a great crew. Our guides were John and Kibaso and both were very experienced. They were excellent and provided for our safety. They kept a pleasant pace during the hike and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of the changing landscape. The weather was excellent throughout. The summit night was tough and really pushed us to give all our energy. After sunrise we all reached the summit. The tents were excellent and equipped with comfortable mats. The porters also made sure that the tents were set up on flat ground. Our overall experience was excellent. I can highly recommend this provider for Kilmanjaro trekking.

  Planning our trek with Jackson was easy and we got to learn so much about Kilimanjaro even before we arrived in Tanzania. When we arrived we found everything to be actually better than it had been described in the itinerary. We found the hike to be very fulfilling, tougher than we had anticipated but very rewarding. I have to mention our crew because they were excellent. Their unwavering support is the reason we reached the summit safely and in pretty good shape. We had all the required gear/equipment in the best condition, enough food, water and other necessary supplies. Thank you all for making our trip a great success.

  It has taken us six months to plan this trip to Tanzania with my husband. We had to postpone twice because of work related emergencies. Jackson was flexible and graciously accommodated our changes. We booked the 8 day Machame route and have made memories of a lifetime. We had guides Paul and Marko with us. This was our first trip to Africa and were treated like royalty. The service levels by the crew was exceptionally high. No effort was spared in making us comfortable and succeed on our summit challenge. The food was excellent. Our cook Priva prepared excellent dishes which were a unifying point for the climbing party. Our tent was excellent, waterproof and we had comfy sleeping bags. The trek pushed us to our limits and almost gave up were it not for the encouragement from Paul and Marko. They helped us overcome our fears and kept us going. We made it to Uhuru Peak and I have never been so happy. I highly recommend Maua Adventures for excellent service.
