What To Expect
Museu De Historia Natural de Maputo
1- 自然史博物館 (出発点): Praça Travessia do Zambeze に位置するこの博物館は、以前は Museu Álvaro de Castro と呼ばれ、1931 年から 1933 年にネオ マヌエル様式 (ポルトガルのゴシック様式の一種) で地方自治体によって建設されました。エンジニアのアントニオ・リベイロ・デ・メンドンサ。当初の構想は学校を建設することでした。注目に値するのは、生後 1 か月から 20 か月のゾウの胎児のコレクションと、リアルな野生動物のシーン (ライオンがシマウマの死骸を引き裂くなど) で、どちらも階下の大きな部屋にあります。剥製師の Peão Lopes が作ったものですが、最近では少しほこりっぽく、最新技術ではないように見えます。ゾウの胎児は、20 世紀初頭にマプト南部で土地が開墾され、その間に約 2000 頭のゾウが殺されたと言われています。アフリカの伝統芸術の部屋も 2 室あります。建物の周りには、建築家 João José Tinoco によって 1965 年に建てられた別館があります。それらは、Malangatana による 2 枚の壁画で飾られています。もう 1 つは 1989 年に描かれたものです。ワーク ショップの別館 (最初の壁画が描かれている場所) には、有名なマコンデ陶芸家 Reinata Sadimba のアトリエがあり、平日はここで働いています。彼女が仕事をしているのを見るのは、マプトで最もエキサイティングで本物の体験の 1 つです。当時の首相パスコール・モクンビと他の多くの人が、彼女をマプトに来て博物館で働くように誘いました。

5.00Wilson was my guide this morning from 09.00 till almost 12.00. He told me a lot of the history of Mozambique while walking to all the sights: I will go for the downtown tour of Maputo next time👍

1.00The tour company was not respectful of my time! The owner sent me one WhatsApp message prior to the tour to confirm the time to meet. I didn't get any messages the morning of the tour that was supposed to start at 9:00 am so I sent a message at 8:30 am stating I was on the way since I was solo. I didn't get a response and since the meet location was at a museum that was closed, I didn't feel safe waiting alone. The driver called from his phone and still didn't answer but he called the driver's phone back and told him the tour guide was on the way. In short, he finally sends me a message, after I asked him what the tour guide would be wearing and how I would know that its him. The time was now 9:03 and still no tour guide or phone call from the company. By 9:15, still no tour guide so I sent a message to cancel the tour as I no longer felt safe with this company. I was told this company was very good and well known so maybe this was a bad day for business and I was unfortunate one to experience it.

5.00Hi, everything was fine. He is a good tour operator. He knows very much about the history of Mozambique 🇲🇿. He was very friendly and clear with all the explanation to me. It’s a pitty the musea was closed. He put up with the lack of that. Everything straight. So he will get a 10+ from me 👌🏽
