• Five days in the Himalayas, with the perfect guide

  My husband and I are both experienced trekkers, so we weren't sure we needed a guide for the Mardi Himal Trek. Looking back, hiring Chandra was one of the best decisions we made. He is warm, genuine, and quietly professional. Never pushy, never overbearing, just present in exactly the right way. His deep knowledge of the trail and the area made us feel safe and well looked after throughout the five days. At some point during the trek my shoes started falling apart, and before I even noticed the problem, Chandra had already pulled out his repair kit and fixed them without a word. The trek itself is wonderful. Five days on the trail, four nights in teahouses that are cosy, friendly, and full of character. The landscapes are breathtaking and the route is quieter than the more popular Annapurna circuits, which we loved. If you are planning this trek, go with Chandra.   We did the Mardi Himal Trek as an experienced trekking couple and honestly considered going without a guide. We're glad we didn't. Chandra turned out to be one of the best parts of the experience. Professional, knowledgeable, and completely unobtrusive, he never imposed himself, just quietly made everything better. He's done this route many times and it shows: his familiarity with the trail, the teahouses, and the mountain environment gave us real confidence throughout. What won us over completely was a small but telling moment: without being asked, he pulled out his repair kit and fixed my partner's shoes on the spot. That kind of attentiveness says everything about the person. The trek itself lasts 5 days with 4 nights spent in teahouses along the route. These are wonderfully welcoming places that add a lot to the experience, making it feel genuinely immersive and authentic rather than a packaged tour. The Mardi Himal trail is stunning, relatively off the beaten path compared to the classic Annapurna routes, and manageable for fit hikers even without advanced mountaineering experience.   I had an incredible experience doing the Mardi Himal Trek for 4 nights and 5 days. I went solo on a private trek, and I felt supported the entire time. I was lucky to have Ramchandra Dadi as my guide, and I 100% recommend him. He was always looking out for me, making sure I was okay, and he also explained the mountains along the way, which made the experience even more special. It’s a trip I will never forget. I highly recommend it.

  I recently went on a private trek to Mardi Himal with The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide, Jaya, was outstanding. He is extremely professional and well-experienced, which made the entire trek feel safe and enjoyable. He knew exactly how to pace the trek and shared so much knowledge along the way. A special shout-out to the big BOSSS, Mani!! He is so friendly and helpful, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He really knows how to make guests feel like family rather than just customers.   This is an excellent company. Mani arranged everything with my son and I to have private transport and a personal guide (Jayaram) to take my son (24yrs) trekking Mardi Himal. Jayaram is experienced and knowledgeable ensuring safety always. He even spent time with us after the 5 day trek to show us around Pokhara. Mani is efficient with his communication via WhatsApp and arranged hotels as well. This is my second time in Nepal and I will be using this company again for future visits.

Everything was perfectly arranged by **Mr. Mani**, who made the entire trip smooth and stress-free. My guide **Santosh** was knowledgeable, patient, and always made sure I was safe and comfortable. Porter **Binod** was equally amazing—so supportive and always smiling, even on the toughest sections of the trail. The whole team made this trek unforgettable.   Guidance Ganesh Budathoki: English is not very good, but very attentive to our every move, afraid not to take care of us well, will also introduce various climbing routes and mountains to let us better understand the whole mountain.   I did Mardi Trek with Jaya K, and it was a truly unforgettable experience!! Jaya helped me sprint to the top in 2 days, and organized everything on the way so I always felt fully safe.
