Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and traditions of the Chagga people. The hike to Materuni Waterfall was an adventure on its own. Walking through tropical forest paths, learning about local plants, fruits, and traditional uses made the walk both educational and enjoyable.   “The Materuni Tour was an unforgettable and well-organized experience that perfectly combined nature, culture, and adventure. From the beginning, the journey to Materuni Village was scenic, with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro and lush green landscapes. The hike to Materuni Waterfall was enjoyable and not too difficult, passing through banana plantations, local farms, and peaceful forest paths. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about the area, local plants, and Chagga culture along the way. Reaching the waterfall was absolutely breathtaking. The sight and sound of the water cascading down into a natural pool was refreshing and calming. We had enough time to relax, take photos, and even swim in the cool, crystal-clear water. It was the perfect place to connect with nature and escape the busy city life. One of the highlights of the tour was the traditional coffee experience in Materuni Village.
