  What a fabulous day, Chris arrived right on time and was charming from the off. We spent most of the day with Chris who was so well informed about all the sights and history of the area. It was a bit wet at first but Chris provided all the right clothing and boots, We thoroughly enjoyed every minute taking in all the scenery and sights of the Fuji area. Chris made the day for us, It was wholly down to his prayers at the shrine that we saw Mt Fuji later that day as the clouds lifted after Typhoon 6 left the area Our heartfelt thanks for your time Mark & Karen

  We (x3 : 68-71yr olds, from NE Scotland) had a great day out with Chris….the perfect guide/host. He was extremely attentive & looked after us…aware of our limitations. Laid back, knowledgeable and ‘in no rush’! We visited an ancient Shrine and world heritage site in the forest dedicated to the Goddess of Mt. Fuji, the Flower Blossom Princess (1200 years old). it was so quiet…..Also a more strenuous climb, but well worth it, to Haha no Shirataki or Mother’s White Falls, with spectacular views of Mount Fuji…. We had lunch at Suggeez Burger joint?…delicious and quirky! Then we went on a slow relaxing drive along Lakes Kawaguchiko & Seiko..including a stop and short walk into the lava rock forest (Aokigahara Jukai Forest or Sea of Trees, formed nearly 1,200 years ago by the largest eruption of Mt. Fuji). Chris also stoped off to let us get a Mexican carry out & some wine & beer! What a great day out….thanks again Chris. 😎🤩

  A wonderful and relaxing tour being taken to super locations and with excellent explanations and information on background and history.   Chris was an excellent guide , very informative on the area and more. He was happy to answer all our questions and was considerate to our needs. We never felt hurried and were able to soak up the beautiful views and enjoy the forest walks. My husband took some great shots throughout the day. We were given lots of extra time and would recommend Chris to future travellers

  Whatever I put here, will never be enough to describe what an amazing tour we have just had around Mount Fuji and its forests. A local Husband and wife team (Chris and Yumi) own and run Hidden Japan, today we were out with Yumi, her knowledge and the detail that she gave us was fantastic, from the princess of the flower blossom and goddess of Fuji to some of the most amazing views and hidden treasures, this is certainly a tour not to be missed.

  Chris gives such a fantastic tour of the Fugikawaguchiko area. He knew so much about the history, culture, and origin of the land, and took us to quiet spots that allowed us time to explore, take pictures, and enjoy the mysticism. He’s so genuine and kind, a day on Chris’s tour is more like a day of seeing the hometown of a friend through their eyes. While taking you off-the-beaten path, his love of the region, its nature, and its history shine through his keen storytelling and insights. The areas he kindly shared with us inspired and recharged our souls - he seems to know exactly what you need just by meeting you. Chris goes above and beyond, ensuring that our group of 6 were enthralled and comfortable throughout. Ultimately, our day with Chris was the highlight of our experience in Japan thus far.   Chris was an amazing tour guide and went above and beyond to give us quite the experience. His knowledge of the area seemed endless. He took us to spots of My Fuji that were out of the way of the crowds you hear about. His energy and vibe matched our group perfectly and you couldn't ask for a better person for a tour around Fuji.

  A wonderful experience. Our guide was engaging and had an intimate knowledge of the area, its history, culture and environment. We only wish we could have spent more time with him. We would recommend him to anyone visiting the area.
