• Great combo of a hike to Esmeralda Lagoon and visit to the lakes!

  We often book day trips with Viator and this was truly one of the very best! Our guide, Nicholas was wonderful - very engaging and knowledgeable. We hiked to Esmeralda Lagoon in the morning - it is several miles but not challenging terrain. The lunch of local lamb that he took us to was truly the BEST lamb we ever had, amazing! In the afternoon, we went across Garibaldi Pass to see Lake Escondido with a walk along Lake Fagnano with a tea break! We absolutely loved our day and would highly recommend this tour.

  We had three spare days in Ushuaia either side of an Antarctica cruise and did all three trips, Esmeralda lake, fagnano lake and Tierra del fuego national park. Alma Calma arranged it all for us with what we wanted to do on the trips. These were three amazing days. We loved every minute of it with the fantastic guide, who was so knowledgeable and spoke perfect English and took amazing photos. The lunches and tea /coffees provided were all delicious. We cannot recommend these tours highly enough.

  We contacted the agency to help us organize a 5-day stay in Ushuaia. They presented us with several plans depending on the type of excursions we preferred and chose. The truth is that it was a success, they helped us get passes for all those excursions that not only depended on them; and on the excursions, they were very attentive every day. We did both the excursions to the emerald lagoon and the lake region, the visit to Lake Fagniano and the hidden ones. We were also in the Tierra del Fuego national park. It is worth contacting and requesting a quote, as the service and organization is excellent.

  Our tour with Nicolas was simply amazing! He is such a knowledgeable guide, and it was great just to talk to him about the city of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego. Our group was only two people, which made a private tour perfect. The scenery for the hike is beautiful, and Laguna Esmeralda is just breathtaking. The hike itself is not particularly difficult either; there is one area that is a little steep, but most people should be able to tolerate it without problems. Once we arrived at the lake, we were able to enjoy some delicious alfajores and mate that Nicolas brought along. Luckily we arrived fairly early before the big crowds. After our hike (about 5 hours total), Nicolas took us to have lunch at a place that had the absolute best roasted lamb I've ever tasted. Not to mention the views at the restaurant were incredible as well. We followed lunch with more driving to the lakes region, including another relaxing stop at Fagnano before returning to our hotel. Overall, the tour was amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend Nicolas as a guide!

  I would like to congratulate the Enterprise ALMA CALMA. Everything very well organized from the first contact. Fast negotiation and everything very well explained. The tour to Lagoa Esmeralda was amazing and one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The guide was always very concerned about our experience and was careful on the treking, always asking about how we were. We walk wonderful trails full of explanations about the vegetation, the region, the climate and the mountains. Arriving at the Lagoa we ate a wonderful snack with a hot drink. All very well thought out and prepared with great affection. Glad to remember those moments. Without a doubt our trip to Ushuaia would not have been even half what was with ALMA CALMA, we already recommend to friends and family. We are already thinking of coming back in the summer. Congratulations for personalizing the service and for giving a lesson of customer experience and care on the tours.

  In June 2022, we took part in a private tour with Alma Calma and the experience was simply fantastic. On the day, it was snowing and the guide guided us on all the procedures necessary to keep us safe, dry and warm. The chosen time was also fantastic and provided us with the view of the Emerald Laguna without any other tourist! The tour was more relaxed, with games and instruction on how to make a snowman. It was just perfect!

  The best investment we made in our trip to Ushuaia was to have hired the excursions with Alma in Calma!!!!!! Nicolas is an EXCELLENT guide and an open book when it comes to guiding what our eyes are seeing. We stayed 7 days in Ushuaia and truly our experience would not have been the same without him!   With Nicolas in charge, we traveled different paths to Lake Escondido and Lake Fagnano. They were unique roads that gave us unforgettable views and moments. Distinction apart deserves the box lunch, we chose the vegetarian option and it was a delight, made by the same guide. All flawless, until the day, which shone with a beautiful sun and allowed us to rest on the side of the Fagnano. It was an excursion completely personalized and respectful of the health protocols necessary for the times that are. We recommend it a thousand times.
