We absolutely loved our volcano and eco tour with Chris. He was so knowledgable. We learned so much! The volcano was very active the day of our tour but unfortunately missed the eruption by one day. Walking across the old lava fields was an incredible experience too, unlike anything we had ever done before. Absolutely loved all of it!

Be prepared to walk for all the very best spots, however this tour can be made with little walking and mostly driving. Just the best places require 1/4 mile walks

In addition to the main tourist attractions in HVNP, Justin took us to other areas of the park that many people do not visit. He conveyed a wealth of knowledge of various plants and the varied geologic features of the park. He also provided recommendations on other tourist attractions to visit and eating places on the Big Island. A very enjoyable and educational experience. Highly recommend.

Book this!! We would have never seen so much, learned so much and had a better experience without this tour. Huge shout out and thanks to John. We had only 3 hours, told John ahead of time, and he made sure we saw the highlights and then some. His experience be a former ranger in the park, and his love of plants and geology made it so much more engaging and compelling, and we left with a newfound respect, understand and love of HVNP.
