• Fantastic day, a must do in Pu Luong!

  First of all, I don’t usually leave reviews unless something is terrible or excellent. Lucky for anyone reading this, this adventure fell in to the later bracket. Wendy from the Divi Travel team was super helpful and went above and beyond what is expected. She was more than willing to help with future bookings and travel without being pushy which I appreciate a lot. All the information was useful and spot on. Hoang was my tour guide for the day, he picked me up at the exact time stated from the hotel where our adventure started. First you go and see how the locals process cotton from its raw state into beautiful scarfs. It’s fascinating and you are encouraged have a go (to which I wish you luck as it looks easier than it really is)! Then we went to a local bar a few doors down where you can try a huge assortment of flavoured rice wine, although I stuck to trying a few so that I could remember the rest of the day! (I’m glad I did as it only gets better). You then head down to see the water wheels which allow water to be elevated from the river so that it can reach the higher level rice paddies, a very clever system. Then we scootered off to where the rafts were which was very scenic and beautiful. You don’t go a huge distance, but you stop in the shallows where you can get out and have a swim, a splash or skim stones on the water (what ever tickles your fancy really). You also get a banquet on the boat which includes fish, pork, chicken, spring rolls, bananas and much more which was all cooked perfectly and delicious. Once finished with rafting, we then went to Hieu Falls waterfall, which was the perfect way to finish the day, plenty of photo opportunities and another chance to have a swim and cool down. You are able to climb up stairs to view or you can get wet and messy by climbing up the waterfall itself which is what I opted for. I was lucky enough to be on the tour by myself so we travelled on scooter as opposed to car) Hoang was slow and steady which made you feel safe, his English is better than mine (I am from England) which made communication very simple and his knowledge was extensive given that he has only been doing it for less than 1 year. The tour is adaptable depending on what you/ the group wants. if there’s something you don’t want to do, then you simply don’t do it. I skipped the 4km trek because I had done a 10km trek the previous day in the same area. Awesome day, best I’ve had in Vietnam so far. Thank you for a wonderful day Hoang and Wendy! • Sensational tour

  The best tour in years! With a great price-performance ratio. We visited many hotspots around Pu Luong. Without any rush and with Eddie as our tour guide. In addition to all the praised highlights, Eddie also spontaneously included the local market. In the end, an accident overshadowed this fantastic and absolutely recommendable tour. But even here, they reacted in a highly professional manner. Both from Wendy (who does sensational planning and organization) and from Eddie, especially our driver. They took care of everything (with hospital accompaniment and transport back to the hotel). Only in such extraordinary situations does one recognize the value of the staff. Thank you very much.   Great experience and great value for money. We did a lot of activities around Pu Luong. It didn’t feel rushed and our guide Eddie was very nice and informative. Th communication and organisation was great would definitely recommend. Go on Friday or Sunday to also experience the local market ;)

  I had a great experience with the Pu Luong day tour by Divi Travel. I am usually reticent about organized tours and prefer to roam by myself, but this one was absolutely a game changer. The tour length was just right, with many moments in which we just walked which was exactly what I wanted. Be prepared to get a few steps in and bring good walking shoes! Our guide, Vinh, was super nice and available. He got us to interact and drink with locals and answered all our questions. The group was small (9 people, all very nice), which was a good thing. I absolutely loved the lunch on the bamboo rafts and being able to swim in the river afterwards. Absolutely would recommend to solo or couple travelers!

  Hoa’ was a perfect guide. We were with her for two days. On the first day we did 20 km of trekking with a drop of about 600 m, took us around the forest and ate in a Vietnamese village. On the second day we did a trek of about 15 km during which we had lunch on a bamboo boat. The guide explained the local customs and besides being very professional she was also very nice. • Great trips in Pu Luong

  I’ve joined two trips with Nga. The afternoon trip is guided walk around the village and through the rice fields. Nga explained a lot about the history and culture. She also let us experience local cuisine. The morning trip was also great! We walked around the rice fields, visited a local village and saw the weaving. Then we lunched on the raft ( great food, I eat vegetarian). She showed us the water wheels for irrigation. Knowledgeable and very friendly guide, thank you Nga!

  The guide during this tour came to tell us a lot and was excited. The boat trip on the river was very nice with a surprisingly good lunch. The trekking to the bat cave is quite tough so bring good shoes , and a good condition. All in all a very nice day!
