5.00We went on a one-day wine tour with Daniel, visiting the Carpathian foothills and the Budaresca and Lacerta wineries. We had a wonderful day. Daniel was a fantastic guide with perfect english, and very knowledgable about the history and traditions of Romania, as well as being friendly and kind. He was a careful driver (driving in Bucharest can be a bit scary!) and really fun to be with. We visited two vineyards (Busaresca and Lacerta), where we were expected and had interesting tours followed by some great wine-tastings. Romanian wine is very under-rated in my opinion - what we had was delicious. The staff were very knowledgeable and we bought some wine to take home at a very reasonable price. The countryside was very pretty and a fascinating glimpse at rural Romanian life. Daniel took us to a little local restaurant for lunch,which had delicious regional cusine and was very good value. All in all, we had a great day, one of the highlights of our stay. Would definitely recommend and ask for Daniel - he was wonderful!

5.00Dan Crisan, was an excellent guide as we made our way towards the vineyards. He was knowledgable in the history of the country and made the wine tasting experience very personable, which added to the wine tasting experience.
