• Chaos, Culture & Incredible Food: The Best Way to Experience Nighttime Ho Chi Minh City by US Army Jeep

  Did the 4-hour “Saigon Night Food Adventure” by old US Army jeep tonight in Ho Chi Minh City and honestly…it was chaos in the best possible way. Cruising through the city at night in an old open-air jeep while the traffic swarms around you feels slightly unhinged and completely unforgettable. One minute you’re weaving through neon-lit streets and hidden alleyways, the next you’re parked roadside eating incredible local food on tiny plastic stools while the city explodes around you. The food was amazing — authentic local spots we never would have found on our own, with every stop offering something completely different. But the real standout was our guide, Sammy. She was exceptional. Warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about the city, its culture, and the food. She didn’t just guide the tour — she brought the entire experience to life with stories, history, local insight, and the kind of energy that made everyone feel instantly comfortable and engaged. Seeing Ho Chi Minh City at night from the back of that jeep — neon lights, endless scooters, music spilling into the streets, people everywhere — felt immersive in a way that’s hard to explain.   Awesome tour. Great experience - navigating the traffic, seeing some great sites. Mimi was fantastic - full of great historical and local information. The food was delicious, and so much of it. We had to choose to stop as we couldnt eat another bite. We saw the flower market & food street & several districts. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 hour tour from 4pm with Nhu in the army jeep. He made us feel very comfortable and ensured we had every thing we needed, from cold bottles of water in the jeep to assistance for my Mum in hopping up and down from the jeep. Having the ability to ask questions, in a private tour was an excellent introduction to Vietnam, giving us confidence for the reminder of our trip to try different foods and better understand the Vietnamese culture. From Booking to final drop off at our hotel, communication was easy via WhatsApp, and Nhu’s English is very good. Thank you Nhu and the Saigon Foody tour team.

  Kelvin is the best! Very professional and knowledgeable, but also makes you feel like a friend! I enjoyed all of the sites on the history tour, and there was also two food stops involved. Kelvin also provided photos of the tour and recommendations of more places to eat at the end. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

  Our guide Jennie was amazing! We tasted all sorts of different food. Jennie was attentive, friendly, enthusiastic and entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We highly recommend.

  Nu, Hoang and Dat were so much fun to be with on this thrilling and delicious tour! Ate the most amazing street food and toured areas of Ho Chi Min City that we wold otherwise have not seen, nor tasted authentic Vietnamese food.   From the moment we met the team, we knew we had chosen the right tour. Despite never having been on the back of scooters in Saigon before, we felt completely safe. The helmet instructions were clear, and we set off with confidence. All the food we experienced exceeded our expectations, making for an truly amazing evening.
