  Such an amazing guide! The reason this experience was so spectacular was because of Diego Rodriguez and his amazing knowledge and skills an irrepressible love for the birds. What a day! Sharpbill, Monklet, Ornate Hawk Eagle and so many more. You can’t go wrong with Diego.

  We saw a number of different types of birds - grackles, toucans, hummingbirds, etc. - as well as some monkeys and agouti. We basically hung around an open area and waited for the birds to come to us. Our guide was very knowledgable and pleasant.

  This was a great experience. Diego is so knowledgeable about Costa Rican local Birds and the Monteverde area in general. It was so enjoyable for someone who likes Birds but hasn't really gotten into Birding (yet). He spotted so many Birds for us in a short time, by listening for them, knowing where to look, and literally calling them. It was so impressive. This was a very small personal tour and we saw dozens of Birds up close and personal. We saw Keel Billed Toucans, Hummingbirds, Parrots, Toucanets, Kiskadees, Tanagers, and my personal favorite the Motmot. Gorgeous. Diego showed us too many Birds to list here. I was amused that other Bird Tour operators were watching Diego to see what he found. It was clear to me that Diego was the expert on Birds in the area. A great Bird Watching Tour experience I won't forget anytime soon.

  Awesome Birds We had a very good time bird watching with Diego. We are not very experts in birds but it was not necessary. Diego knows how to transmit the love of birds in a unique way. Thanks Diego we will be back soon

  We did a bird watching tour for beginners, it was super nice, we managed to see many birds and learn a lot from Diego, we would not have imagined the incredible world that birds hide and we learned everything thanks to Diego's experience! He is a bird educator who knows everything!!! The tour could not have been better and we met many birds that we have at home in North America and we did not know We managed to spot a beautiful Wood Thrush, a Species that Diego has worked with in Research, a Beautiful bird. We recommend Diego for his bird tours and hikes!!!

  It was such an amazing experience of bird watching with Diego as our tour guide! He is so knowledgeable and an expert on looking for cute birds in Monteverde! Besides that, the private small group activity also contributes to our experience!   Going on a bird watching tour with Diego was simply incredible! Diego was able to show me all the birds I wanted to observe, I can recommend him with my eyes closed, he is the guide you should hire, apart from being a great bird watcher, he is also a great person, Diego is also a nationally recognized bird watcher and knows well the birds from all over Costa Rica, he has a lot of experience in Monteverde because he has been local all his life We had the opportunity to observe hummingbirds, toucans and many colorful birds.   We write this opinion to recommend Diego! We had the opportunity to spend some time with Diego on one of his bird tours! Diego is patient and has a way of explaining about birds in a very unique way. We hired him for a Beginners tour and he was kind enough to also show us about Hummingbirds in the Hummingbird Gallery. We learned a lot about them and Diego knows super facts. interesting about these!!! In short, don't miss the opportunity to spend some time with this amazing guide!!! Thank you very much Diego!   I want to recommend Diego from The Bird Rules!! We did a Beginners bird watching tour and it was truly a dream. Diego has an incredible capacity for observing and educating about birds. We are not very experts about birds and that is why we decided to hire Diego and learn and really 5 stars are very little. It was an incredible tour and this made me open my mind a little more to the wonderful world of bird watching. Thank you Diego, Francis and Hannah.
