  Seeing sights from the air is an amazing experience. Unless you climb to a high peak, there is nothing like it. We had a clear sky day in Milford Sound, but were sad to learn that the winds would prevent us flying over the fiord. For an equally beautiful Plan B, Air Milford took us over Lake Wakatipu and into Queenstown. The plane was clean and comfortable. The flight was steady so we could concentrate on the stunning birds-eye views. It was a terrific experience and one I'd recommend!

  My wife and I had the most spectacular experience with big Ben and little Ben at Air Milford flying us from Milford Sound back to Queenstown. They were so knowledgeable, took the time to make us comfortable, and provided a super scenic and smooth flight for us. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to get from Milford to Queenstown!

  Fantastic company to deal with, clear communication and super friendly. Took my husband, son and his partner back to Queenstown from Milford Sound. The scenery was fantastic and Antz asked us where we would like to go. We flew over the Routeburn Track where two of our party had just walked. We saw so many lakes and snowy peaks.   We had the most wonderful experience with Air Milford flying our family back to Queenstown from Milford Sound, and I wanted to make sure this incredible family business gets the recognition it deserves. Our pilot was Antony — the Chief Pilot himself — and he took such wonderful care of us throughout the flight. His knowledge of the region, warmth with our family, and obvious passion for what he does made the experience truly memorable. The views over Fiordland and the Southern Alps were absolutely spectacular, and having such an experienced and personable pilot narrating the journey made it even more special. Air Milford is a genuine Kiwi family business with real heart and soul behind it — you can feel the difference compared to larger operators. Three generations of pilots, a 100% safety record, and service that goes above and beyond. If you’re visiting the Queenstown/Milford Sound region, flying with Air Milford is not just transport — it’s one of the highlights of your trip. Highly, highly recommend.   Instead of flying from Queenstown to Milford Sound we flew Milford Sound to Queenstown after walking the Milford Track. Our flight with Air Milford was spectacular and the icing on the cake after our walk. Antony was fantastic and flew us over the route we'd walked, pointing out the lodges we'd stayed at along the way. It was a brilliant end to a great trip - everyone should do this!

   We had booked an excellent drive to and fly back tour to/from Milford Sound through Wild Kiwi tours & Altitude tours. Our guide/driver Gina kept in touch with our flight company and once the cruise was completed, she introduced us to Anthony our pilot on Air Milford. Anthony escorted us and other passengers to the airport 5 minutes away. He allowed time for photos with the plane and ensured we were all prepared for our flight on this new plane. Over the next 35 minutes he gave descriptions of what we were flying over. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend flying back after the 5 hour drive out, and highly recommend Anthony!

  Air Milford provided our tour group a scenic flight back to Queenstown after a cruise on Milford Sound. We took off from an alternate runway due to changing weather. Anthony Sproull was the pilot of the plane I was in. We had 2 planes, with 9 of us plus 2 crew in each. The flight was amazing. The pilots are very experienced and skillful. We had excellent views of the mountains and the sound. I was able to get some stunning photos all through the flight. This is definitely something to try while you are in New Zealand.

  Best small plane trip I have ever experienced, definitely a must do. One look at Antony and you just know you are going to have a safe flight—he exudes confidence and knowledge immediately. He was personable and kept us informed the entire trip. The flight was smooth and the views you won’t see any other way. Taking the plane back to Queenstown is sooo much faster and you are not as tired. I highly recommend you try this for at least one leg of your Milford Sound journey , you will not be disappointed.   After our bus ride to Milford Sound and the great boat ride we decided to fly back to Queenstown. What a wonderful decision we made to fly with air Milford!! Our pilot Anthony was tremendous, and the scenery was amazing. Well worth it to take the flight back - and transportation right to our hotel. Thank you, Anthony and Air Milford.
