What To Expect
Historic RailPark & Train Museum

5.00We aren’t really train aficionados or anything but thought this would be interesting. We traveled from Clarksville, TN for Valentine’s Day weekend and I had ordered this tour before getting to town. We were definitely pleased with our young man tour guide who took us through all the cars. He not only had local history and details about each car, but had a family history on the train as well. The museum was well put together and enjoyable to walk through. My husband and I were extremely happy that we chose this guided tour and learned all about this amazing way of travel.
A must see!!

5.00A stunning and in depth history of trains in the area. Wonderful visit and very informative. Spent the entire afternoon there but could have spent more time. I enjoyed reading alot of the information provided. Inexpensive and well worth a family visit. Have fun!

5.00A small but very informational train museum. You can drive a train in a simulator and see lots of artifacts in the museum. Kids as well as adults would enjoy the train museum.

4.00Our group of two parents and two young adult sons visited the train museum and tour during our trip to the area. The museum is restored well and tells the history of train travel. The model train display has great detail and enjoyable to view. It was an interesting peek into that history to tour the trains. Our sons would have had a different level of interest when they were young. Unfortunately, the air conditioning on 2 of the train cars was not working on the day we visited. With temperatures 90+, it was not pleasant to stand inside the cars with 10+ people, though that does give perspective for how hot it may get with the engine! The heat may also be why the video displays were not working. A suggestion for the tour guide would be to speak louder or use a microphone and stay ahead of the group to lead. We give grace to our guide as we understand she is less experienced and our group was her largest up to this point. The train museum can be part of your "planes, trains , and automobiles" trip in the area if you choose!

3.00Decent, but quite expensive for what you get. A family of 4 was $60 and there isn't much to see beyond the guided tour of the train. That guided tour was enjoyable and informative. Beyond that, there is a model train layout and some displays about the history of railroading in the Nashville-Louisville area. You're in and out fairly quickly. My kids liked playing with the wooden train toys in the kids' area of the gift shop the most. At least half of the depot building was business offices. There are no train rides here, and the other three train cars that you can see on your own are under renovation. You cannot go inside them and there isn't much to see. This would be easier to recommend at a lower price point.
