  We had a great time taking the 3-day private tour with Friend in Iceland. Xiao Juan (筱娟) is very professional and friendly to discuss our itinerary before we arrive. The car is super spacious and comfortable. She shared Icelandic culture, history, folklore and some fun Q&A, which made the ride enjoyable. We went to all the highlights of the golden circle and south coast, and some special secret spots along the way. She also took us to the highlands through challenging road conditions, which we would never have gone to if by ourselves. We were amazed by all the gorgeous views! Thank you so much for making our trip memorable. Highly recommend Friend in Iceland as your guide when you travel to Iceland.

  We had a fabulous experience in Iceland with Saga. We saw even more beautiful places than we expected, and every moment was enjoyable and well organized. Saga was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and caring throughout the trip. She provided us with snacks, water, and ponchos, and always made sure everyone was comfortable.   It was our first time to visit Iceland. We participated the three day tour, which included south coast, glacier/ ice cave and golden circle. Luckily, our guide was so nice and talkative. She shared a lot of things about iceland’s history and folklore. It was a little expensive compared to 20-40 people local tour, but it’s pretty cozy and slow-paced.   We are going to the south coast of Iceland to the ice lake in March 2025. After paying the reservation, the day was on-site payment, the 9-person bus car is super comfortable and very friendly, Mr. Yuan himself is also friendly, telling us a lot of stories, and also helping us to increase the flexibility to adjust the attractions, so photographed some private attractions such as Shark Falls, and also lucky to meet the rainbow!!   We are deeply grateful to Saga, our amazing driver and guide for an unforgettable journey through Iceland. She made sure we saw the best of Iceland, from incredible auroras, rainbows to the breathtaking landscapes. Over five days, we explored numerous must-see sights with Saga's warm hospitality and insightful commentary enriching each experience. The flexibility of our private tour was particularly appreciated, enabling us to collaboratively adjust the itinerary to our preferences. We also want to express our gratitude to Gunnar for planning such a fantastic itinerary and for his friendly and patient communication during the booking process.   Our tour guide 张筱娟 is excellent. I have travelled enough and went though a lot tour guides. She is by all means the best tour guide I have ever met. She is very professional, courteous, friendly, thoughtful and extremely informative. Through her detailed and narrative explanations, we have learned so much about Iceland’s culture, history, geography and great number of legends. She definitely made everybody feel at home and made our trip so lovely and enjoyable. 我们的导游张筱娟非常棒。 我经常旅游也接触过不少导游。 筱娟 是我见到的最好的导游。她 不但非常敬业，待人亲切有礼，对我们关心备至，而且知识渊博 。通过她细致深入的讲解，我们对冰岛的文化，历史，地理环境 以及各种传奇都有了一定的了解。她对我们每一个人都像对待家人一样， 并使我们大家感到旅途非常满意和愉快。

  This was a group of 5 friends on a private tour of the South Coast and Glacier Lagoon, and we had an absolutely fantastic time! It was an amazing tour with beautiful sights of the landscape, including mountainside and valleys, waterfalls, lava fields, black sand beaches and glaciers. Each was stunning in its own way. From the outset, the company (Gunnar) was highly responsive and communicative in handling the booking - - responding to our questions and providing clear directions in advance. Jen, our tour guide, was simply the best!... friendly, very knowledgeable and shared a wealth of information along the tour. She put us all at ease, made sure we were comfortable (and safe) throughout and gave us tips at each stop to maximize the experience. It was a long day but she kept it interesting throughout, and flexed the itinerary to allow us more / less time when warranted but also to fit in an opportunity to see some puffins! This was highlight among highlights for our Iceland trip... knowing we will be back!

  We had very limited time at Reykjavik and my husband wanted to cover so much in so little time - tour the South Coast scenic spots, visit Diamond Beach and ride the zodiac boat in the JÖKULSARLON Glacier Lagoon - all within a day! But thanks to the accommodating team of Friend In Iceland, this item in my husband's bucket list was happily fulfilled. We covered 800km in 14 hours (back-forth from the Reykjavik Cruise Terminal where our ship was docked overnight but where we had to disembark by 9am the next morning). Yet, we did not feel exhausted at all thanks to our superb private tour guide Saga Jen. My husband and I and our 2 daughters were comfortably seated in a very spacious 4 x 4 Mercedes Benz 9-seater van during the tour - each of us essentially had an entire row in the car for ourselves! Saga's driving was so smooth and she was so engaging during the car ride (pointing out interesting things as we traversed the incredible South Coast terrain) that we barely noticed the great distance we had covered within a span of 14 hours. She was also very attentive to our needs - making sure we had short stops along the way to stretch or use the rest room or grab something to eat - while ensuring that we were still on schedule. And unlike large public tours where you feel you are being rushed to leave when you get to the scenic spots, Saga Jen never made us feel that we were being ushered here and there. At each scenic stop, she engaged with us so that we felt she was part of our family instead of a timekeeping 3rd party. A private tour is undoubtedly more expensive than public tours but this private tour with Saga Jen was definitely worth it. Thank you, Saga, for making our once-in a-lifetime trip to the South Coast so memorable and special.
