  We booked a squid fishing tour but weather was not ideal so Tri, guide/owner-operator, changed itinerary to visit a nearby fishing village & dine al fresco on the boat. Tour included pick up and return to hotel. The tour was an authentic learning experience about ecology, the locals and their history. Pictures speak for themselves. Thanks Tri for showing us life along the waterways & not using single-use cutleries & plates for dinner. We greatly appreciated your eco-friendly approach.   I went on the tour with a group of friends, Dri was super nice and friendly to show us around even willing to come pick us up earlier than the trip to hike the mountain a bit. We saw the beautiful coastline of Ky Co and took two different types of boats to get to the floating fishing platform. Although we didn't catch any that night, we had a wonderful time enjoying the food and the breeze, while witnessing the local fishermen catching the fish with the net.   The weather did not cooperate, and waves too rough to go out fishing. Instead our fantastic guide Tri asked if it was ok to modify to a more inland experience. We agreed and had one of the best times of our lives! We started with a fishing village tour. It was quite beautiful and interesting, not to be missed. The views were incredible. Then we took a boat ride through the mangroves to a tiny island fishing village and walked around. We enjoyed learning about such an interesting way of life. Then we drank beer watching the storks fly home to roost. Our captain cooked lots of fresh seafood: Oysters, two types of shrimp, fish, and perhaps the best steamed clams of my life. The company was amazing, and only improved by the local wine! This tour was the highlight of our trip! You need to book this now! I can’t wait until next time I am back to go squid fishing with Tri!!!

  Me and my partner took advantage of this trip and we were incredibly satisfied. We got good service, our guide was kind, welcoming, nice, and gave extra to ensure we were getting as good an experience as possible. We learned a lot about the local fishing village, as well as Vietnamese fishing culture. The guide offered to pick us up earlier than planned, which we took advantage of. We experienced more, which we are very happy about. Since it is not high season we were taken to snorkel at a small coral reef, which was incredibly nice. After this we ate a local ink spruce dish in the village, then to relax and have a little tour around the village and on the beach. We then went out by boat to a boathouse with a floating bridge on. There we met several local fishermen who welcomed us well. The fishermen showed us how to fish, and we started. Along the way we were offered food and drinks and we had it very nice. Our guide was flexible on time, and let us fish a little extra as my partner spent some time getting a nap. Fortunately, the fishing trip ended with catches for both me and my partner, which was very fun. Our catch was cooked on the boat and we got a taste of our own catch which was very good. All in all, we are very pleased with everything this trip involved and would highly recommend this further. No doubt 5 out of 5 stars from us. With friendly greeting couple from Norway.
