Weather forced cancellation but prompt refund

Unfortunately we were unable to dock due to high winds that morning. This forced a last minute cancellation. I give the 5 stars because the tour provider and Viator offered a prompt refund, which is much appreciated.
A nice tour of the island

We were escorted around the island by Liramento whose English was excellent as was his knowledge of the island. We went to quite a few different places and started with a short walking tour. There were 6 of us on the minibus which was a comfortable number. I do advise getting to the meeting point as soon as you can

The market is quite limited. Most enjoyable was the drive on the road to the highest point on the island. The driver guide was very accommodatig and considerate of our physical limitations.

We enjoyed our tour of São Vicente with Freddy. He spoke very good English and was quite knowledgeable about Cape Verde. We learned a lot about life there and we felt like we got our money’s worth.
A worthy introduction to Cabo Verde

Elodie did a fine job with the group she had. The pace was a bit slow for my tastes, but there were lots of elderly and limited people from the ship, so it was understandable. The views from the top of Monteverde were wonderful, and I enjoyed seeing local people in their ordinary lives.

Freddie was a wonderful guide. He was on time, friendly and it was very apparent that he loves his island. He spoke very good English and was happy to answer all our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mindelo. We drove up to Green mountain, toured the city, went to the fish and produce market, visited several villages and beaches. Thanks Freddie!

It was a good way to visit the rural villages and mountains in S.Vicente. The view from the mountain and beach was great. The guide was very helpful to support my stay.

This tour is a good balance of walking the city of Mindelo and driving to a few important spots. The drive up to Mount Verde is a unique experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The price was great.
