車で1時間ほど行くと、閉鎖されたトルコとアルメニアの国境（有刺鉄線で封鎖されている）から約100メートル離れたアララト平原に位置し、ロシア軍施設によって守られているホル・ヴィラップ修道院に到着する。
アルメニアの南東に向かうと、最初の目的地はゲハルト修道院の伝説的な槍の修道院です。このユネスコ世界遺産は、キリスト教の最も貴重な遺物の 1 つを収容するために岩に彫られました。
私たちはガルニ村までドライブを続け、ファミリーレストランに立ち寄り、そこで昼食をとり、ラヴァシュ（タンドールで作られたフラットブレッド）を試します。

What To Expect
Khor Virap
修道院はアララト平野内の緑の牧草地とブドウ園に囲まれており、アララト山を眺めることができます。アラックス（またはアラカス）川が近くを流れ、修道院はトルコのアラリックの向かいにあります。
Charent's Arch

5.00We hat a daily tour with our guide Tigran to Khor Virap, Geghard and Garni Temple and it was very informative, fascinating with the architecture and beautiful landscapes and a lot of fun. Tigran is a very knowledgable guy, who can give a lot of additional facts and he presents it in a still humorous way, we liked that very much. Also the lovely details, like seeing a lavash bread making by an armenian woman for us, was so wonderful. I hope to come back to Armenia as soon as possible. For all people, who are interested in culture and people, this will be a great option. I can recommend it highly!
