Our guide, Pablo, was very attentive. He drove us from downtown to Aconcagua Park and guided us up to the Confluencia base and back. When we reached Confluencia, he prepared a delicious lunch for us. The sceneries are breathtaking and definitely worth a visit. In total, we walked 16km.

An incredible experience, with surreal landscapes and the feeling of being closest to the top of the Americas. The road is already sensational and when you arrive in the park you are very impressed with the view to the Aconcagua. The trail to Camp Confluencia has a moderate difficulty, but it is important that the person have physical conditioning to withstand the walk and the effects of altitude. Finally, our guide Tuti was excellent, with a lot of experience on the rise, on the region and on the history of the place. He guided us all the time and was at our pace. Now we want to go back to climb even further.

Highly recommend La Montana guided tours. As an older solo female traveler it can be frustrating to get out to remote areas of interest. Local Mendoza bus only goes out toward Aconcagua a few times a day & takes twice as long! La Montana found a small group within my available dates with space so I didn't have to pay a single supplement. Cristina, our guide & driver, was bilingual, warm, experienced & went out of her way to include me often in the random chats throughout the day so my lack of Spanish was not an isolating barrier. I felt more connected to my fellow hikers. She slowed the pace & encouraged as needed to accommodate each persons needs, experience & comfort. One guest had mild altitude issues so we all supported & watched out for each other. At Confluencia, base camp 1, a delicious surprise lunch appeared from our guides pack! Fresh bread, cheeses, avocado, cherry tomatoes, salami, hard boiled eggs, hot tea & we all shared what trail snacks we had with each other & the other small group seated at the table. A perfect day to a goal I'd set 8 years prior! You can't go wrong with a tour booked with La Montana in Mendoza! Take it from this skeptic & fiercely independent traveler

Very well organized, informative and entertaining. Our guide Fernando was tremendous. Transferring us to Aconcagua, giving information and health tips where needed. Our lunch and snack stop was also provided by Fernando. First class guide

A great hike, friendly guide, and an overall worthwhile experience. Altitude was not a factor, and we traveled rapidly, which suited me.

I had always wanted to see Aconcagua. Cristina was a superb guide: knowledgeable, informative and a great companion in the mountains for a solo traveller. She set just the right pace for me at my age and we reached Confluencia after 3 hours. At the camp, Cristina pulled out of her rucksack an incredible lunch: boiled eggs, fresh bread, salami, cheese and, can you believe it, an avocado and a cup of tea. Wow! It took 2.5 hours to get back down and we then drove back to Mendoza. The weather was glorious. A wonderful experience and grateful thanks to Cristina for making it so enjoyable.

it went really well! that tiredness that makes you happy! 30 thousand steps, almost 800m of elevation counting ups and downs along the way (16km round trip). beautiful photos and the guide (ferney)/driver who were very kind. For those unaware, remember that it takes 3 hours there and 3 hours back by car to leave the trek! So we left at 7:30 and arrived at 8 at night! incredible trip. Just a tip for the agency that a car like the Chronos (simple sedan) with 3 large adults in the back gets complicated on a long car trip. Be prepared for a lot of wind and dust. Use sunscreen and bring plenty of water (a 1.5l bottle/person works well). We didn't use waterproof shoes, we didn't need them and they are lighter and more comfortable.
