  Already, the photo does not correspond at all to reality. No guide, just an audio guide on your smartphone, with commentary that is out of sync with what is being explored. Troglodytic is out of place because it is a medieval castle, whose basement has been closed off by stone walls to create places where serfs worked and slept, which do not correspond at all to the troglodytic era. Three objects added here and there do not make a collection nor tell a story. Even considering that it is a modest price, nonetheless, €25-50 for 2 adults and 1 child for a maximum of 20 minutes to explore the site makes the excursion rather expensive. Conclusion: a place to avoid.

  Very beautiful visit, guided by Louis who shared his passion with us, and the entrance fee remains unchanged despite having an exceptional guide. We are delighted with this discovery, even though we are from the region and our friends a few kilometers away are thrilled

  The Village de la Madeleine is an absolutely wonderful place, which well deserves its 5 stars ⭐. It is a place full of history, perfectly preserved, where you feel a real authenticity. The tour is as rewarding as it is exotic, and the natural setting is simply beautiful. A real step back in time! We particularly loved the small educational farm: the children were able to feed the animals, which was a magical moment for them 🐑🐐. Many thanks also to Marie, with whom we were able to discuss the solognote sheep and the educational farm project. It was exciting and very informative. And most importantly, we were welcomed by a smiling and warm team, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A place to visit absolutely and preserve!   Beautiful site, we go back in time with barely imagination , it's really great! The scenery is wonderful, especially when the sun shines! Very nice and professional welcome we were even recommended, a very good little restaurant. I highly recommend!

  A superb visit very interesting! The place is sublime, and the audio guides and information panels are very good qualities and super informative! You can feel that Louis and his family are passionate about the place and the Dordogne, and it was a pleasure to chat a little with him at the exit 😁 Even in the rain, we loved it!
