国民的詩人で、ヴァスコ・ダ・ガマのインドへの航路発見を描いた叙事詩『OS LUSIADAS』の作者。セウタでの戦いで片目を失ったという。彼の傑作の影響は深く、ポルトガル語は「カモンイスの言語」と呼ばれることもある。

15世紀後半のリスボンは、発見時期まで世界中の人々が詰めかけていた。中心部を拡大する必要があり、今日カモンイス広場として知られている場所は、かつて街の入り口の1つでした。以前、フェルナンディーヌの壁とサンタ・カタリーナの扉があった場所は、震災後の今日、2つの教会（エンカルナソンとロレート）がある場所です。壁の向こう側には裕福な貴族の領地があり、丘の上には黒疫の犠牲者の墓地もあった。 1506年、マヌエル1世はヴェネツィアに聖ロックの聖遺物を要求し、墓地近くの庵に安置した。人口増加と黒疫病の到来により、恵まれない者や病人は教会に近付くため、結局この地域に移住することになった。一方、これらの人々を受け入れる都市計画が立てられた。

It was my second tour with "discovering Lisbon" and I am now convinced that these tours can give a meaning to what you see around in Lisbon everyday. I did the tour with Jade who Is studying archeology which Is a plus and when he knew about my interest in architecture made the tour mainly related to this, involving my attention despite the hot weather :P THIS TOUR IS GOOD IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CITY NIGHTLIFE AND HISTORY TOO. For me It was interesting to be guided by a Brazilian guide because he could give me an "Intercontinental" point of view About portugues culture when asked. Jade is also very Happy to help you in practicing portugues and taking pictures of you in the best spots of the Town! RECOMMENDED.

A very nice tour in which Mann learns a lot about Portuguese culture and gets to know the hot spots of the city. Our tour guide Leonardo was very great at explaining, friendly and explained and everything very good ! Highly recommended.

We were with Eva, walking through Barrio Alto and Chiado. Excellent guide!!! Encouraged, with a taste for what she does and that conveys interest and enthusiasm.

Discovering the lesser known streets and the history of an area as told by our expert guides on two separate tours, Pedro and Gabriel (Alfama tour), is a great way to get a feel for Lisbon - without any fear of getting hopelessly lost! As can be expected in Lisbon, there is some climbing and descending on stairs and narrow cobble-paved streets, but the pace is easy. Good walking shoes are suggested. Meet in Rossio square daily to choose one of several tours, no prior reservations required. Pay for the tour at the end as you see fit for the quality of tour provided - no risk! Recommend.

Performing the Tour with Eva was a pleasure. Besides being a lovely woman she is a great professional at her job. At all times he was watching the whole group. His explanations are a poem and what he tells and how he tells it is very enjoyable, which makes it more interesting and that you imbue yourself more with the essence of the city. Fully recommended, enjoy your company and your explanations. Cheers!!!!
