  Great experience through the park. Mariah was very knowledgeable and took the time to slow down and help us find all the wildlife we wanted to see. She was a great guide! We left the experience excited and educated about the park. The snack and lunch were great as well! Would recommend !

  We had an amazing time with Kyle! He was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the animals of the area. We saw many animals and got some great pictures. I’d highly suggest this experience for anyone visiting the Yellowstone area!

  We will not tell you all of the wildlife we saw as not to set unrealistic expectations. This expedition is of high value. Yellowstone Safari Company guides are trained and experienced. They explore the parks on their days off!!! They love what they do and it pays off. They are accommodating. They adjusted the pick up location and allowed us to get an early start which really paid off. The was our second consecutive year taking this tour. Next year will be our third! Our guide was Nate. We had the greatest time. This was the first of three tours with this company this trip. The other two were in Jackson . . . half day dusk tour and stargazing. See our review there. This is our happy place. One of the reasons is Yellowstone Safari Company and Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris.

  I'll start by saying this was one of the best tours we have ever been on, and I do not say that lightly. If I could give our guide, Elena, infinity stars, I would. When you book (and you absolutely must), ask for Elena. She was not only an absolute joy to be around, but she is incredibly knowledgeable. She knew exactly where to go and when based on the weather, and she is a true expert in all things Yellowstone: the wildlife, the thermal features, the geology, the history. I could go on and on. My husband and I were celebrating my 50th birthday the day of our tour, and I could not have asked for a more magical day. We were a little nervous since it was shoulder season, but those worries disappeared the moment we got started. From the first stop to the last, it was nothing short of spectacular. We were fortunate to see an incredible amount of wildlife throughout the day, but two moments stood out above the rest. First, watching a herd of bison, including a precious newborn calf, was breathtaking. Then came the showstopper: a bear emerging from hibernation. Elena spotted what looked like a tiny dot on a distant cliffside, sprinted to her vehicle to grab a telescope, and within minutes we were watching that bear in real time. It was one of those moments you genuinely cannot believe you are witnessing. That brings me to another wonderful perk of this tour. In addition to the binoculars provided to each guest, the guides carry high-powered telescopes they set up quickly and effortlessly, so you can truly see the wildlife up close. It makes a world of difference. This is a tour we will never forget, and we are already planning to come back in the summer with our daughter. You better believe we will be requesting Elena. You can tell she loves every single thing about what she does, and she is all heart. Five stars is not enough. One million stars, minimum!

  My wife and I booked a 2-day tour with the Yellowstone Safari Company and had the good fortune of having Gary Vodehnal assigned as our guide. There was one other couple with us that had also booked the same tour. Gary is extremely knowledgeable, patient, always looking out for good things to see, and made sure we were always safe. Just an all-around wonderful human being. He was able to modify the itinerary, within the bounds of possibility, to allow us to see and experience everything we wanted to do.   Booked through the concierge at our hotel and had Gary guide us through Yellowstone on a cold, snowy Sunday. He hit all the best spots, shared his deep knowledge of the park, and provided a wonderful experience for us. He even brought lunch and a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary! Highly recommend!

  Gary was our guide for a mother-daughter 5-day safari of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It was a great experience. Gary is extremely knowledgeable and he kept us interested and entertained. We saw bison, elk, bighorn sheep, antelope, coyote, and grizzly bear — and a chipmunk. We did not see any wolves, but I think that was a timing issue. After all, the animals are wild (never forget that!) and they operate on their own schedule. The parks are beautiful beyond my imaginings. Gary saw to it that our meals and accommodations were up to expectations. The motels we stayed in were not fancy but they were clean and had all the amenities we wanted and all the essentials. All our meals were very good. On our last day, we did some shopping in Jackson, Wyoming, and that made my daughter very happy. I found Yellowstone Safari Company on Trip Advisor and chose them based on the many excellent reviews.   This was a phenomenal trip thanks to our amazing guide, Matt Macoy. I cannot praise him enough! He knew an incredible amount about Yellowstone-from the animals, plants, geysers, and all the park’s unique features. His detailed knowledge of the wildlife, including behavior and habits, made every sighting fascinating. We saw grizzly bears, and thanks to Matt’s expertise and careful guidance, we always felt safe. The van was very comfortable, great snacks and lunch. Matt was super accommodating and made sure we had a great experience. This tour was unreal- all because of him. I highly recommend this company.

  My husband and I did the private Best of Yellowstone tour. Matt MaCoy was our guide. We had an amazing day. Matt knows so much about the park and was such a pleasant person to spend the day with….we really had a great time, saw amazing sights, lots of wildlife, and learned a ton. • Incredible Wolf Experience

  Once in a lifetime Incredible Experience! Our guide Nate was amazing. We booked a private tour with a 6am start and were interested in wolves and he knew right where to take us. We were able to observe the Junction Pack sleeping and then awakening and then heading out to hunt. We watched and followed them for several miles as they stalked a herd of bison. We watched as they singled out a young one , killed him and began to eat. An unbelievable experience. We also had a close encounter with a grizzly, saw 8 black bears, antelope, bighorn sheep and elk. The optics provided were excellent and Nate’s knowledge of the animals and the area was outstanding. The transportation and provided snacks, drinks and lunch were great.
