Best way to travel Rome

5.00This was the absolute perfect way to travel Rome for the first time. Nadia could easily tell what our interests were and guided us accordingly. She was so knowledgeable so fun to be with. At the end, it felt like we were friends! We got to see all the sites we wanted. She stayed in excellent contact prior to the trip and met us at the train station.

1.00Our tour director failed to show up, consequently the tour I paid for did not happen. While I did receive a full refund for the tour, the operator refused to reimburse the expenses I incurred (hotel night and meals) for the extra day in Rome so that I could participate in the tour.

5.00We had a wonderful tour in Rome. Our tour guide, Lu, was excellent and personal. She took us to different attractions including the more quiet side of Rome which was very different from the usual crowded places. The tour was tailored to our specific interests. I would highly recommend booking a trip with her!

5.00We had a great day with. Massimo in Rome. He contacted us in advance to see what we wanted to do, came to our hotel to pick us up, and showed us things we had walked past a million times without ever looking at them or knowing what we were seeing. Massimo showed us big sights and small, hidden treasures and the tour was everything we hoped it would be. We left Rome feeling as if we knew it much better than we did just half a day earlier!

5.00As a solo traveller, I booked quite a few tours through City Unscripted not knowing quite what to expect. I had an amazing time on all my tours. In Rome, I met Varshit, not born in Rome but had lived there for 18 months. Varshit messaged me a few days in advance on Whatsapp letting me know where we were meeting and what he had planned. It all went perfectly - we met at a cafe for a quick espresso hit and then headed out into the city. It was actually wonderful to have Varshit who knew about the history and the local area, but could also talk to me about what it was like to be in Rome as a foreigner. Being on my own, Varshit and I covered so much territory. Even better, Varshit brought his GoPro and took heaps of photos of me in all the main attractions and then sent them to me on Google Drive. A perfect trip!
