  Take hot and cold weather gear as it can be fickle. (Note: The meeting point at Interlaken West is the train station as one goes down steps and walks to the docking point - this is confusing at first so one needs to allow enough time for this).

  Beautiful views but terrible service from the rudest staff I’ve ever experienced. This ruined my trip and has completely changed my view of planning any future like minded trips. Other passengers were lovely though.

  Breathtaking views! Round trip is 3 hours so bare that in mind! 4 stops along the way which you can get on and off but boats are every hour to each stop. Recommend sitting at the back of the boat and front of the boat you have to stand to see the views even if you have a seat.

  

  

  

  

  

• Not clear on pick up and drop off

  This was a very unclear trip. It says that drop off would be at the same destination as pick up. However it was not. We boarded the boat at Interlaken West, assuming that we would be dropped back off at the same destination. This was not the case. We were dropped off at Thun, and was told the the boat would not be going back to Interlaken. We therefore had to make our own way back to Interlaken by train. Neither myself nor my daughter were very happy about this.

  While the boat ride was very good, the experience with TripAdvisor was awful! We were not provided with info as to where to access the boat. I called TA, they didn’t know the answer and never got back to us . We figured it out eventually with no help from them. When we got to the boat we were told that the tickets we had required a Swiss half fair card, which we did not have. The boat operator took pity on us and let us slide. When I inquired as to what the walk up cost would be, it was about 2/3 of what we had paid TA. I thought they made their money by getting discounts from the tour operators and providing additional services, or maybe slight margins, not 50%! They provided no service, maybe negative service in this instance. We will never use them again! If you want to do this boat ride, just walk up and pay a lot less!

  It’s very difficult to see both lakes in one day, so it may not be worth it to pay so much for a day pass for both lakes.

  It is only possible to do one lake in a day. This is not hop on hop off because the next boat isn’t for 2 hours. We actually took a train to our first destination on lake Thun so we could explore before boarding the boat. If we had waited for the first boat that day it would be too late to do anything. We also took a train back because the last boat did not return to Interlaken it stopped a couple of ports prior. The mark up on the tickets is high. Suggest buying locally. Be aware that dining on the boat closes early. Be aware of seasonal time table changes.

  We did the Civitatis excursion of Walk for 1 day through lakes Thun and Brienz with possibility to go down and up in villages. He clarified that it is impossible to do it in 1 day because of the schedules of the boat and because of the time it takes to get from one place to another. It's a real scam. You can never do what they offer on the CIVITATIS tour. Don't do it! Take the ticket directly to the port

  I took the Blüemlisalp from Thun to Interlaken. A 2-hour leisurely ride on Lake Thun. I also had lunch on the outside deck. The risotto was very good. The staff very friendly.

  Well maintained ships with helpful staff. Interesting travel information about the speaker system. Lake Brienz enchanted us with its colour. The whole environment/landscape is decidedly beautiful. Just a modern, grey, newer building complex near Oberried has disturbed the harmonious overall picture.
