The experience I had on this trip was amazing it was something I had always wanted to do having seen gorillas 🦍and chimpanzees in the wild. My guide Danny was very attentive and knowledgeable about the river and the forest as well as the orangutans. The crew of the Klotoch were pleasant and the cook always made excellent meals, way to much for just one person. As I visited out of season I had the boat to my self and the guide and all the feeding stations we visited were very quiet interms of tourists being no more than a dozen at all three often meeting the same people. This made seeing the orangutans more rewarding as you weren't fighting for space. This has given the experience an intimacy way beyond the cost of the trip. I would recommend trying to do out of season if you can put up with the higher heat and threat of more rain as the tradeoff is worth it.

Good guide, great crew, trying to do the best for the guests. A cool cloth after a walk or a coconut, cool drink and also great food

We had an amazing time in Tanjung Puting. The vibe was very relaxed sailing down the river in the Klotok visiting 4 feeding camps to see orangutans up close and also seeing probiscis monkeys, fireflies and glimpse of a crocodile from the boat along with multiple other fascinating species. Vonny our guide was very knowledgable, engaging and funny. How he spotted all the creatures on the night walk I have no idea. The crew looked after us well and the food was fantastic and varied. My youngest daughter is a keen photographer and Vonny was always on hand to find her the best views for photos. On this holiday we have visited Borobudur and Mount Bromo, but this was definitely the highlight and really felt like we were on a wildlife adventure. Thank you for the experience.

We had an incredible 3-day river cruise. Everything was organized very good, and the whole crew was amazing. Our guide, Hendra, and the boat captain did everything they could to make sure we had the best chances to see and photograph wildlife — and we saw so much! The entire team was very friendly and made us feel really well cared for. The food on board was delicious and plentiful. It was a truly special experience, and we’re very grateful to Hendra and the crew for making it so memorable.

Our son is keen on primates, so I chose this tour for him, to the orangutans. The tour is three days, two nights, living on a houseboat. We arrived at 7am, drove along a broken road for about 20 minutes, through a military unit, and felt a bit tense. We had sent copies of our passports and tickets for park passes in advance. Our boat arrived, we met our guide Rasmin and sailed along the bay, then up the river. It was not hot, we entered the river, it was beautiful, the birds were singing. We had a modest lunch of local cuisine. It started raining. We sailed to the first stop, and it was still raining (the guide suggested going in the rain, gave us umbrellas. We went along the path through the jungle. We heard a noise overhead, looked, and right above us on the treetops walked a female orangutan with a grown-up cub. Quiet delight! We walked, and they walked above us, to the feeding place. We arrived, the rain stopped, several young males, females and cubs were feeding. They were about 10 meters away. An alpha male came for a short time - they are called kings, young males quickly leave. One sits above us, expresses displeasure (loudly smacks his lips), breaks branches and throws them down on everyone watching, we all laugh quietly. An hour and a half of feeding and we go back. We rest on the boat, at 7 pm there is a night safari. The night one was not particularly impressive, we saw a tarantula, glowing mushrooms and Mushrooms smoking with spores. We sail on to the place of overnight stay. We sat on the bow of the boat, admired the night sky, the moon - romance. We slept on mats under a mosquito net tent, silence, only something crunching and chomping can be heard in the jungle. In the morning, with the first rays of the sun at half past five, the birds began to sing, cry out, we slept great. Then we had breakfast and went to the second feeding place. The weather is great, although it is the rainy season, but the sun is shining, only very humid. We are walking along the path, the Rasmin and son are in front, about 3 meters behind me and my husband ... King comes out onto the path in front of the son and the guide, grabs a tree with one hand, stops and looks at us, then starts walking forward, sweeping the path with his wool. He looks like Yeti, our emotions are indescribable! So we go on until he turns into the depths of the forest. We knew that we were going in the low season and the probability of seeing orangutans was lower, well, we hoped for at least one. We saw them all: kings, females with cubs of all ages, teenagers, young males! A female with a cub passed me literally 3-4 meters away. No words, photos or videos can convey the live emotions and what we saw with our eyes! Two hours flew by unnoticed, we returned to the boat, had lunch and sailed to the third stop. The higher we sailed along the river, the narrower the river became. The park workers do this work, clearing the river banks from thickets of plants. They cut down entire floating islands and send them floating downstream. But since they cut down very large islands, these islands can become compacted and block the river. The guide told us that if we could not get through, we would return to the second stop. But we were able to get through and went further up the river. We arrived at the third stop, a 20-minute walk along the path to the feeding site. There is a hotel at the third stop, also an orangutan study center, where volunteers also come. Unfortunately, the orangutans did not come to the feeding at the third stop. We sat for a long time, more than an hour, and suddenly a gibbon appeared, very timid, grabbed some fruit, climbed a tree, ate and left altogether. We sat for an hour and a half and went back. We sailed in the opposite direction, had to choose a place to spend the night. But because of these floating islands, we got stuck. Other boats arrived and tried to move these islands, and somehow they pulled us back. In the morning, we sailed to break through the islands. Before us, the park workers left to cut a channel. So we also had adventures. We broke through the islands and calmly went in the opposite direction, and returned to the port by 12 o'clock. Almost everywhere we sailed, there was no connection or internet, we had a very good rest both in mind and body. We said goodbye to the Rasmin and went to the airport. We had a wonderful experience and unforgettable impressions

Nature and wildlife was great. The Crew and the tourguide were amazing. It was good to do it off-season, because there were still a lot of boats

Excellent communication from Riyan right from the outset. Responsive and super attentive to our requests and very courteous. We booked the 3 day/2 night private boat tour for myself & husband and it was perfect! 👌 Our helpful, knowledgeable and friendly English speaking guide, Krishna, escorted us throughout the trip and along with the expert boat crew and cook we had a marvellous trip! 😁🤩 We saw lots of native wildlife and flora including Orangutans, Proboscis monkeys, Macaques, Kingfishers, butterflies as well as fireflies, snakes, spiders, bats and creatures of the night on our‘night-walk’. Fabulous! 👌🦧🌿 The on-board hospitality was excellent! The meals and snacks were delicious and abundant and the cook and crew did their utmost to ensure our comfort and enjoyment at all times. The facilities were simple and rustic but very comfortable. A fantastic trip that I’d highly recommend! 👍⭐️♥️
