  Can't recommend Art Dec Trust Tours highly enough! Outstanding service, knowledge, and tours! We were picked up in 2 beautiful vintage cars direct from our cruise port by our lovely host's Kay & John. We toured around Napier, taking in some of the most beautiful Art Deco buildings and sights, both Kay & John a wealth of knowledge on all this Napier. Our first stop, Church Road Winery 🍷 WOW! We all absolutely loved the winery, surroundings, and our host, Darlene, who carefully selected wines for us to taste and one of the most fabulous tasting platters 😍🍷 Church Road wines are very, very nice! Next stop, Mission Winery! And beautiful gardens, views, and wines, of course. Our host, the brilliant Benjamin, explained the wines, the wineries' history, and of course tasting of some great wines. Our family absolutely loved the tour.   We really, really loved Napier. I must admit, I knew nothing about the town. It was really beautiful. It has a gorgeous waterfront. Lovet the Art Deco Tour...buildings reminded me of Miami Beach...Beautiful! Lots of cafes and several streets closed to traffic. The Highlight of the tour was the National Tobacco Company tour. Which included a distillery tour and a taste sampling of their products. Put this tour at the top of your list! Very interesting and informative. Sample the local gin, and tonic. I have never bought any product on similar tours, but I did on this one. No sales pressure, just a lot of fun and you will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge about the town and the distillery. I heartily recommend this tour. Sea views are tremendous! I think I could be persuaded to live there!

  We had a wonderful tour with John as our guide. He greeted us with a friendly and warm welcome. We were the only two passengers, so loved that it was a private tour and had John’s full attention. He was extremely knowledgeable and well informed on both past and present events of Napier. He took his time, gave us opportunities to take photos and answered any all questions we may have had. It was a wonderful way to get to know the area and see all the highlights. I highly recommend John as a guide and this tour. Great day in Napier!

  Extensive look at the Art Deco component of Napier and the reasons why it is that way. Beautiful buildings, fascinating history. John, our driver/guide was very knowledgeable. We were the only people on the tour, but he still ran it. Thank you. Other companies might have cancelled.

• Art Deco and history introduction with great views!

  I thought the trip was very worthwhile and informative - we went to some great spots and learnt lots of the history! The view from top of the hill, the gardens and Tobacco Building and art deco housing streets were highlights. The tour is via transport in a van and we had some great stops but meant we could go back to see some sites on foot when the tour had finished. Thanks John for all your knowledge!

  Four of us had an absolutely wonderful afternoon with our guide Roy. As a life-long Napier resident he was so knowledgeable about the history of the city and showed us so many little details about the buildings that we hadn’t even noticed on a walkabout earlier in the day. Later, he drove us into the residential areas and up on the hill for a view over the city. We all thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Thank you very much to John & Maggie for accommodating us.

  This was, without doubt, the most boring walking tour that we have ever done. The guide was a very boring old man who insisted on telling us everything about his life history. He then dragged us ar5ound a rather tatty town centre where there are supposed to be fine art-deco buildings. As we had just come from Wellington, where we saw some brilliant art deco buildings, Napier was very much second best. With hindsight, we should have given this tour a miss, it was just not worth the trouble.
